I miss January LaVoy

I like the story. It is just a hard listen when you cannot tell Tom Paris from Admiral Janeway.

The voices are all the same, the only way I can tell them apart, is by someone saying a name.

January LaVoy, would have done this book a great service.

Worse Star Trek Audiobook !

The performance was very weak. The story was not very good. In all fairness I have to say that I couldn’t follow the story because of the lackluster performance of the narrator. It did help me go to sleep so many times though. If this is what you’re looking for, this is the right book. I’m a Treky and I have purchased so many Star Trek Audiobooks that it’s not even funny. This is absolutely the worse one. I would love a refund.

Confusing story

The story and the premise although very interesting seems to be just all over the place and a little confusing at times. I couldn't tell who was talking, as all the characters sound the same you can only tell what's going on when somebody says she said and then their name, and the book eventually didn't even finish the story which is extremely frustrating.

great book

This book was an awesome listen. I really love how they got the author of the book to read it. I also love how she changes her voice for each character.

poor harry

Nice to see Harry is keeping up his streak as the universe's doormat even in the books.

Two years, but worth the wait

No spoilers here, but I'll say - this closes a door and opens a whole new universe of possibilities for the intrepid crew of the USS Voyager. ;) Thanks Kirsten, for this, your work on Disco and the fantastic new Picard series you conceived. I look forward to someone continuing the adventure you started in the books, I hope it happens but you left it in a place where we can be happy even if it's the last we see of the Voyager crew as one. Peace and long life.

Nicely done!

Wraps us several storylines in sometimes surprising but always satisfying ways. Beautifully narrated by the author whose love of the characters and story arcs shows throughout. Great job revisiting back stories seamlessly.

garbage

The narrator was OK but this is the worst story I have ever heard. I used my free credit for the month on this and I wish I could get it back.

Hard to follow

The whole story line was hard to follow. I listened to the first book in the series and it was good but a little soapier than the shows. Wasn’t in love with her voice, would have been better if they stuck with the same reader as the first book.

Lovers of the tv program will hate this book

There are few times I’ve skipped the ending of books but this is one of them

The first book in this series is ok and made me want to hear the conclusion.

The book starts ok but there is hour and hours where literally nothing happens I felt myself loosing the will to live it was so boring

By the end of it I had no clue what happened nor did I care, I still have no idea what happened and the book end with 2 hours left, where the story just rambled on I just ended it there

The whole tone of the book is very safe and woke, there is no conflict or suspense, because everyone is so nice to each other

If you liked the original characters well they disappear in this book as wallflower character, largely replaced by new characters of who were all bad and forgettable

Gwen seemed to have some kind of emotional disorder where she went thru lots of emotions in the space of 2 mins sad one min happy the next it was just bizarre , and her long stories wandering off into her personal memories which had no relevance to the story at all, and they were so boring I skipped a whole half an hour of her ramblings to miss zero from the story at all

The story doesn’t move forward for about 6 hours in the whole book I hated the characters and the story fell part because of the boring narrative

Probably the worst Star Trek book I’ve heard and not a patch on the Voyager series

Avoid this book at all costs

The end came so abruptly

I love Star Trek books and always look forward to the new story. This was a good story with interesting story lines but my only complaint is that the end came so abruptly. One chapter there was one ship alone on the far side of the delta quadrant and two characters transformed by the Edrehmaia and then in the next chapter the whole fleet are together again and the two crew members are back to normal. I would like to have had more story of what happened in the days and weeks when the fleet were reunited and how the crew members were healed. Having said all that, I really enjoyed this book

It was worth the wait.

It is an engaging and exciting story that explores the dynamics of a known culture, and a new one.

The Final adventure?

If this is indeed the final book Kirsten writes for Star Trek, she takes the series out on a high.

No fancy explosions, no Borg invasions, but a book that changes the status quo.

I was skeptical going in, but bravo, you delivered more than I hoped.
