Story
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

Another interesting story lost.
Story could have been good we're it not for needless profanity & crude descriptions. Are people really wanting to hear about tampons, bleeding and ruining pants, and turning the great gift of language into something vulgar and crass? Maybe people now have lowered their standards that much, but I truly hope not.

What a twist
This was a great little story. When it started I almost felt it was going to be one I abandoned but I'm so glad I didn't. I'm not overly fond of supernatural stories. However it soon transpired that there was a perfectly logical reason for all the strange going ons.

What an amazing story! Wonderfully crafted and the different strands skilfully woven together. Believable twists and turns. Funny and insightful in places. Made all the better by the great narrators. Faultless really except for the pronunciation of “ folie a deux “. But that is forgivable, I suppose. Hope the author has written lots more books because I am on his case!!!

Must Listen! A+
Psychological thrillers make for intoxicating audiobooks and Still House does not fall short. Luke Arnold’s gravelly voice draws the listener in with a nuanced characterisation of Dave’s tension and insecurity. The contrast of Sibylla Budd’a crisp elocution and impassioned narration brings Lisa to life. A nod to the lonely Australian landscape counterposed to the picturesque coastal holiday dream, this story of Still House is one you cannot miss.

Great psychological thriller
I loved Still House! Great story line that did have me guessing a fair bit and really sucked me in, and actually had me on the edge of my seat in a few places. I loved how the tone of the book kept shifting - is a crime story, is it supernatural? The performances were outstanding! I've never listened to an audio book with two performers and this worked so well to narrate the male and female chapters. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Brilliant!
Engaged me right from the start. could not stop listening. Short but action packed. not for the faint hearted. A bit disturbing and I found it scary. Very gripping read. Narrators did an outstanding job. cant believe this was a free read!
