A retired janitor and gas service tech in Vermont astonished everyone by leaving an eight million dollars bequest to his local public library and hospital when he died a few years ago. Everyone was curious as to what his secret was.

And the solution turned out to be rather simple. He had invested in the company throughout the years, in addition to being hardworking and thrifty, as you may have predicted. This isn't quite as unexpected as it may seem.

According to a new World Wealth Report, the affluent put the majority of their money into stocks and enterprises. Our clever janitor had merely followed in the footsteps of the rich. As a consequence, he had a similar outcome. That is, he was able to turn his money into a substantial sum of money. This is something you can accomplish as well.

Not great for engaging the beginning

Well I was hoping to be able to understand enough to go and start investing after this but that's not the case at all. I'm not sure I feel like I know anything new. It's not that there wasn't new stuff in there it is just that it wasn't engaging enough or at a level that a beginner could take anything in.

I defintely would not recommend this book. Sorry I'm sure the author has wished hard on it but most of what he says is common sense and not education.
