Stoicism - Understanding and Practicing the Philosophy of the Stoics

“It is the power of the mind to be unconquerable.” (Seneca, The Stoic Philosophy of Seneca: Essays and Letters)

What does it mean to be “unconquerable?”

Becoming unconquerable has nothing to do with forming an army or strengthening your muscles. In fact, it has nothing to do with anything physical at all. It’s about changing how you view the world and your part in it.

You become unconquerable when you learn how to deal with the curveballs of life. How do you find joy in your darkest hour? How do you feel rich when you have nothing? The answers are in this audiobook.

You won’t find these teachings in today’s schools, but this is exactly what the ancient philosophers were teaching. Events outside of your control should have no impact on your joy, happiness, peace, or confidence. If these things are going to happen anyway, why not turn them into positive events?

Instead of always being the victim, turn yourself into the victor. All it takes is a shift in perspective, and that’s what Stoicism is all about.

The timeless wisdom of the Stoics can help anyone find inner peace and joy and Stoicism - Understanding and Practicing the Philosophy of the Stoics is the perfect starting point.

Stoicism - Purpose and Perspectives

We live in a fast-paced world that has come to characterize the 21st century. We are bombarded with constant distractions, and silence has all but vanished from our daily schedule and practice. We are collectively exhausted, but we don’t really realize it. The exhaustion manifests in sicknesses we can’t identify, and if we can, it’s something we can’t pronounce. We batter ourselves against the daily onslaught that has become our lives.

We all need a break, and we all need answers on how to stop this fast-moving wreck in motion. The answer, it turns out, has been in front of us all along and within us even longer. The Stoics figured it out two and a half millennia ago and practiced it with great results. Maybe it can help us now, too.

Stoicism has two aspects - the theory and the academics of it and wanting to read the texts that fall into that category is a good thing, but this is not that. This book is about how one practices Stoicism in their daily life here and now. It is for this century, this decade.

Is the solution here? No. The solution is within each of us. What you will find here, though, is the way to extract the solution that is already within you. It’s as simple as that.

What are you waiting for? If you’re looking for true, unbreakable joy and strength, scroll up and click the Buy Now button to get started!

“Too simple” says all small thinkers

Too often anything that’s Stoic Philosophy listenings have a bad review for being “too simple” when it’s the greatest minds that have shaped the world we live in today. Anyone can make something simple too complex but only a genius can find something complex and make it simple. This is a book for those who think big with small tellings of wisdom.

Interesting quotes and reflections

I use this as daily inspiration to write. It gets me thinking about what is happening in my life or in the world and sometimes alters my perspective in a positive way. It is different from most daily quote books because the quotes are from so long ago, but they still are almost always relevant to today.

The delta of ones mind will be epic

Stoicism is not just a philosophy, it's a practical worldview. This book came at a perfect time for me. This will be a guide by which I live. To remain focused and steady in the face of great peril is quite an admirable goal.

I love this devotional

I love this devotional. I sent one each to my adult children and we in the morning together, the same great thoughts. Discuss when we meet face to face. Practical. Easy to listen . Effort to practice.

Get into Stoicism

Too many of the great men and women in history have followed stoic teachings to ignore them now. This book is a great way to start implementing and acting on the teachings of the great stoics with daily listenings to consider practicing in your life.

Useful

The daily lessons are succinctly presented, each with a central message that is easy to apply. I bought and gave 4 as gifts to family members this holiday season.

Excellent Basis For Thought

Excellent! with each day denoted for the day of the year And, a bound-in red ribbon to keep your place. I'm exercising discipline to refrain from "listening ahead." It's enough, and more than enough, to listen one half-chapter -or-so thought, and then reflect on that as I go through my day. I'm thinking' I might use some of the margin spaces to add my own initial reaction... Very Well Worth the Price!

Good daily listen

It makes stoic writing accessible and meaningful in today's context. I've tried listening stoic writings before, but I spent as much time understanding what was being said over learning the lessons that were being passed on. This gives me an insight into the writing in a manner that unlocks the meanings quickly and I can spend more time thinking about how to apply it that day.
