Do you remember when you had your first thought of corporate America and working there? A job of high importance came to mind, maybe even wearing a suit and working in a fancy office. The sad truth in the matter of this place is, although it has its perks and benefits, it has about as much politics and as many cliques as the high school cafeteria. When thinking about life after high school we always imagined that the real world wouldn't have as many barriers.

A lot of times, when people think about success, they immediately start to think about their goals. They look at their life and start to measure their accomplishments. I then ask these people, of their goals, how many they would say they accomplish in a year or month. In most cases, they have set goals but they have no idea of the steps or work it takes to accomplish them. I tell you, although we set goals, the outcome we desire is a specific set of results. Let's look at the big picture.

Our book is written in plain English so that anyone who wants to learn how to manipulate and persuade can understand. Stop letting people be a mystery to you. You are a person yourself, and that fact will be key to analyzing and ultimately controlling others. With enough knowledge of psychology and practice of the skills we teach you, you can become the main factor in how someone behaves and thinks.

Story
Almost every religion, spiritual practice, philosophy and person grapples with fear. The most repeated phrase in the Bible is “Be not afraid.” The ancient Greeks spoke of phobos, panic and terror. It is natural to feel fear, the Stoics believed, but it cannot rule you. Courage, then, is the ability to rise above fear, to do what’s right, to do what’s needed, to do what is true. And so it rests at the heart of the works of Marcus Aurelius, Aristotle, and CS Lewis, alongside temperance, justice, and wisdom.

Publisher's Summary
Rise upon the shoulders of the Stoic titans. Discover the Stoic chain to action for a better life.
Stoicism is not a philosophy as we imagine it to be: old and outdated, and highly theoretical with a lot of blah-blah. On the contrary, Stoicism is relevant today, immensely practical, and designed to work in the real world, and it has been a source of guidance and practical advice for people for more than 2,000 years.
“That’s why the philosophers warn us not to be satisfied with mere learning, but to add practice and then training. For as time passes we forget what we learned and end up doing the opposite, and hold opinions the opposite of what we should.” (Epictetus)
Thanks to daily exercise, the Stoic lifestyle can help you become a better and kinder person. It helps you to become less emotionally reactive and prepares you to meet misfortunes, whether minor irritations or serious adversities, with tranquility.

Your better than this Robert Green! This is NOT the kind of writing you have built your brand and reputation on sir !
Formulaic and simple minded with fortune cookie phrases does not make a book by Robert Green! This is something that not even Ryan Holiday would put out, let alone a true master as your self ! The payday must not be the reason that you put your name on trash like this ! I would expect my 15 year old nephew to read this for any insights OR to write this kind of “self help “ ! You have given us well thought and inspired books- this was a four hour waste and a credit i will have to get back. Reading your other great books, I was embarrassed for you to have you associated with this book ! Benny V

Great step by step guide of Stoicism
Stoicism is a detailed and nicely written summary of the Stoicism, an philosophy developed in Ancient Greece. The Book precisely describes what Stoicism is and explain how it can be useful in today's chaotic modern society. With quotes from Seneca to Epictetus and other important figures from history this booklet would provide you some useful tips by how people can comprehend and practice Stoicism.
I liked reading this book. It immediately clarifies to me this complex philosophy and it gave me so many useful ideas and support to deal with negative aspects of my life, with work and our society as a whole.
I did not particularly enjoy the exercises that the author suggests to do. By the way, it might be so because probably I am lazy and I need them badly.

A useful intro to stoicism
This audible book is a useful and practical intro to stoicism. It isn’t amazing deep in any one area, but it does give a good overview of the topic while providing practical examples and thought experiments that you can do yourself.
