Mediocre Collection of Stories

This is a short collection of canon stories about characters we are familiar with. A few new make appearances, but this is mostly about majors. There are only two Sith stories, and one of those is a shared tale with Jedi. Unfortunately, it is like many canon books, mediocre stories avail. I couldn't pick one as a favorite. One was just a rehash of the finale of Revenge of the Sith. Voice talent in the audio is great. It makes me miss the legends authors even more. I'm glad many of the legends books are being given unabridged audio versions.

Just okay

The performance by Mark Thompson and Sam Witwer were incredible. Unfortunately, aside from 3 or 4 amazing stories, the rest were just plain boring.

The original EU still reigns Supreme.

This bit of hot garbage is the 2nd star wars book that I've purchased lately and so far both books have been pretty lack luster. The stories are forgettable and classic characters act... well nothing like the character.
brother hood tried too hard to hit that pre Disney prequel mark and missed it like a storm trooper on the silver screen. this one did the same, though to be fair there are a few good ideas in this one that could find themselves turning into a solid novel.

In my opinion though both books might be worth a credit but not a buck.

Star Wars - Stories Of Jedi And Sith

I bought the hard-cover book first, thinking it was a mix of comic book and story. It is not, but there are some beautiful pictures per chapter in that book.

The audio-book is a lot more adventurous, having some of the leading voice-actors and the music of John Williams and amazing special effects that come with it.

The stories are all different enough and some are exciting, some are more terrifying and some are funny (the last short story especially is perfect for pre-teens).

I really enjoyed the voices of Sam Witwer and Marc Thompson, those two never disappoint.

Great book but...

This was a great book right up to the last story. They ruined the ending by including Rey. It should have been an Asoka story or another female Jedi, not Mary Sue.

fun listen

Pretty fun, quick stories. Sam Witwer narrating the Maul chapter is a chef's kiss. Glad I listened to it

New and Old

A mix of new stories and a couple retold one's. But either way it's still pretty good

Still haven't finished it.

The stories are short, and boring. There's very few main characters, however the stories are probably the most boring I've heard. Couldn't finish it yet.

Mixed bag

There are a few awesome stories here and then there are a few that are just ok. And one that was unfinishable.

in one word: Eh...

the choices of narrators are good, however the stories apart from Yoda's story and Mauls stories are all a bit meh. where all the stories are considered canon.. none have any impact at all.

if you've got loads of credits to burn, sure pick it up but if you're spending wisely, might be worth giving this one a miss.

Mauls story (could've been better - voiced by Sam witwer which is great, but they could've done this story as he'd arrived to malachor) and Yoda's (existing story put from Yoda's and sideous' perspectives) are pretty much all that are worth hearing really.

Enjoyable, easy listening

I enjoyed these short stories, but wasn't blown away. A few were very good, however a few were fairly average.

honestly it's dreadful

It's straight up boring. A couple of them are ok but most are just bad and a real slog go get through.
One of the stories is literally just stuff from the movies written in. The characters are off and their narratives are irrelevant and boring.
I would strongly recommend steering clear of this.

Awesome stories for Star Wars Fans

This is a great collection of Star Wars stories for young fans, but is also suitable for older fans too. I listened to each story intently and the authors managed to keep me entertained and engaged. A definite 5 star rating from me!
