Another great Rosie Clarke story.

I love the Mulberry Lane books and I love Rosie Clarke's style of writing. However, the narrator is so off putting, it should be a crime. She pauses in the wrong places making sentences disjointed, some of the characters sound like they are drugged up because of the way she voices them, they slur and speak like they haven't any social skills. I've never wanted to switch to an actual book just so I didn't have to listen to the awful narration before, but this particular narrator had me feeling that way more than once. I definitely won't be buying any more audio books that cite narration by this one.

Awful narration

Have not listened to all of this as the narration is dreadful. It would be ok if the narrator did not try and put on dreadful accents. I found this too unbearable to listen too

Disappointed

I quite enjoyed the book but it was hugely spoilt by the narrator. Maureen sounded like an imbecile, Abel droned on so much I had to speed it up. Don’t get me started on the Alice voice. I’ve never taken so long to listen to a book, but as I’d listened to all the other mulberry lane books I persevered.

Narration very poor.

The narration spoils the book the accents are dreadful and totally wrong for the characters. The story itself is good although a number of inaccurate details.

Terrible Narration. Good story.

I’ve been reading the Mulberry Lane series. It’s an excellent read. However, the audible books are terrible due to the poor narration.
