They actually have vastly different styles and backgrounds. Yet despite their differences, great managers share one common trait: They don’t hesitate to break virtually every rule held sacred by conventional wisdom. They don’t believe that, with enough training, a person can achieve anything he sets his mind to. They don’t try to help people overcome their weaknesses. And, yes, they even play favorites. In this longtime management bestseller, Gallup presents the remarkable findings of its massive in-depth study of great managers.

Publisher's Summary
Do you have an opportunity to use your strengths every day?
Chances are, you don't. All too often, our natural talents go untapped. From the cradle to the cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths.
To help people uncover their talents, Gallup introduced the first version of its online assessment, StrengthsFinder, in the 2001 management book Now, Discover Your Strengths. The book spent more than five years on the bestseller lists and ignited a global conversation, while StrengthsFinder helped millions discover their top five talents.
In StrengthsFinder 2.0, Gallup unveils the new and improved version of its popular assessment, language of 34 themes, and much more. While you can listen to this book in one sitting, you'll use it as a reference for decades.
Loaded with hundreds of strategies for applying your strengths, this new book and accompanying website will change the way you look at yourself - and the world around you - forever.

The code is available.
I contacted Audible via the chat function in their help page and received the code to take the assessment within five minutes.
This book is not ideal for the audio format. If you want an over view for all strengths, listen away. Otherwise make sure you download the PDF (in your Audible library right next to the title) to find the tracks that are specific to your strengths.

Waste of time
Hi, fellow book lovers!
Very honest review here.
You are way better off doing a free MBTI or getting a BIG FIVE personality test. It will provide you with a full in-depth personality analysis report that can be actually used and learned from.
16personalities.com has a free report and you can sign up for a 30 $ academy that has A LOT of extra material if you really want to dive deep.
https://www.truity.com/test/big-five-personality-test ONLINE10 gives you 10$ off so you get a full report for 9$. Just do the free version first and decide for yourself if it's worth paying. Still better use of your time than getting this book, registering on their site and going through all those questions just to get a 2-page generic report about what you already know. For me, it's a no brainer.
http://hexaco.org/ not that counter-intuitive but legit data.
I would suggest starting with 16personalities since it's free and gives you a well-written report. If you are a psychology junkie like me, BIG 5 is more sophisticated and will fill in the gaps of MBTI, so 9 $ is a good deal. And to put the cherry on top, do the HEXACO. If you studied MBTI and BIG 5, you will not need interpretations of the data to be able to read the results and interpret it yourself )
Good luck to you all in your journey of self-discovery!
Peace!

Good info, but there is no access code for the test
The narrator and descriptions of each strength are good. However, it's clear from the beginning that this book is meant to be paired with an online test that requires an access code. And guess what, the audiobook has no access code. Still, the descriptions alone are probably enough to know what one's strengths are.

ACCESS CODE not resolved for survey
What disappointed you about StrengthsFinder 2.0?
I had planned to take the survey and was promised an access code that I didn't get. Audible says they are aware of the problem and would get back to me within the week. Given that I purchased this 4 months ago, it seems a bit odd that this hasn't been addressed yet.

What disappointed you about StrengthsFinder 2.0?
There was no follow up email with supporting documentation after 2 months (didn't want to spend extra time with Customer Service so I kept waiting. I hope chasing it down will result in the promised materials)

Great for those who need to "hear" the lesson
I'm a great fan of StrengthsFinder, and was looking for a way to listen to the strengths while on the go. This was a great tool for that. However, I also was looking for the other parts of the book, the FAQ's and how to apply your strengths. What I listened to was just the summary of the 34 Strengths. I wish it had been explained that the other aspects of the book were not included.

The code to access the online assessment will apparently take 5 business days to resolve. I was on chat and was told the request to get a code needed to be escalated to a so-called Account Specialist. A very poor customer experience.
