Story
From the author of 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos comes a provocative hypothesis that explores the connection between what modern neuropsychology tells us about the brain and what rituals, myths, and religious stories have long narrated. A cutting-edge work that brings together neuropsychology, cognitive science, and Freudian and Jungian approaches to mythology and narrative, Maps of Meaning presents a rich theory that makes the wisdom and meaning of myth accessible to the critical modern mind.

Publisher's Summary
Summary: 12 Rules for Life by Jordan B. Peterson: An Antidote to Chaos
(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)
Called “one of the most important thinkers to emerge on the world stage for many years,” by The Spectator, Jordan B. Peterson's 12 Rules for Life is a truly thought-provoking read. How should we live in the modern world? Peterson aims to answer this question using his unique blend of ancient traditions, religion and scientific research from his many years as a clinical psychologist.
He does not shy away from the hard questions and controversial topics. White privilege, postmodernism, gender identity, and the source of the world's greatest evils are all discussed. It should not be forgotten amid his controversial opinions that Peterson has over 20 years’ experience as a psychologist and offers countless nuggets of wisdom on living a better life throughout.
Peterson journeys broadly, providing advice on confidence, dominance, communication, discipline, meaning and so much more. If you want to live a better life, read this book, study it - then live it.
Why should you always pet a cat when you meet one in the street?
What can we learn from lobsters about success in life?
What terrible fate awaits those who criticize all the time?
Listen to find out!
It takes the average person 49.5 minutes to read 9000 words.
For the price of a coffee and a time investment of roughly 2 percent of your day, I believe the wisdom in this book to be well worth it's value. This book allows you to skip to the nuggets of wisdom and actionable content in a very easily absorbed, listenable way, including key takeaways at the end of each chapter. Save yourself time and money.

A good summary of a fantastic book.
This was a very unique, life changing book for me. Jordan Peterson has a unique ability to be able to break apart chaos and find order inside of it. 12 rules for life will bring a sense of understanding to Anyone who reads it. As long as they are honest with them self. It should be required reading in every high school classroom. this summary by David is a good quick read to get the overall understanding of the book but can and no way replace the actual book by Jordan Peterson.

Good.
I enjoyed this summary. Wanted to hear the whole book, but seeing it is 15h.. I think that was alot. Also read there is long religious texts in the book that throw some of reading further... this summary was then handy. Because there is a lot of good advices in the book! Religious too but better for me that dont want to read long stories to get the point. Want to buy this summary in book form if it exist. Think the guy talking was good too. 👍

So much better than the binks
Ideally I’d love to read books in full but I’m on the go a lot and time doesn’t allow.
So I have audible which is great.
However, when it comes to self help, sometimes I’d like it if the books could be shorter and not so ‘fluffy’.
For this I have Blinkest.
But now they are to short!!! (I’m hard to please..)
Then along comes ‘In a Nutshell Publishing’ with this book to save the day!
First I listened to the blinks, then I found this title on audible. As a comparison this is far better. Although the blinks contain similar info it’s far more diluted.
This version, like the perfect mini skirt, hit the mark exactly.
Short enough to grab your attention but long enough to cover the essentials...’
