Story
Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you'll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck isn’t about being indifferent - it’s about being comfortable with being different. It’s about the willingness to acknowledge our limitations, to suffer through our pains and fears, to accept responsibility for our problems, and to stand up for what we believe in no matter what. It’s about developing the ability to overcome failure and adversity, the ability to say, “F--k it,” not to everything in life, but to everything unimportant in life.

Publisher's Summary
It takes the average person 38.5 minutes to read 5,000 words. For the price of a coffee and a time investment of roughly two percent of your day, I believe the wisdom in this book to be well worth it's value.
Here's my sales pitch: The writing will not be quite up to the same standard, and the formatting is also not done by a professional. If you need a story behind each point to reinforce it, then please, go and buy the original.
However, if, like me, you aren't a fan of the "fluff" that comes along with most books and would much rather skip to the nuggets of wisdom and actionable content in a very easily absorbed and easy-listening way including key takeaways, then I believe this is the book for you.
Save yourself time and money. I am only releasing summaries of the books that have made a true positive impact in my life. If you decide to purchase, I truly hope you enjoy and benefit from it.

If you liked Cliff notes which only touch the basic & obvious, this is for you
Can not recommend, the narrator, Ms. Littwin & her book company, Nutshell Publishing total lose the nuances of Kondo's original work, where she brings you & teaches, it's more than just tidying up. If you just want the absolute minimum (no pun intended), the how dos of keep & pitch (without inspiration), Then, maybe this is for you.
The actual book, "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo, is inspired & spiritual. You feel, no matter how much stuff you've accumulated, you can handle it with Joy & a major can do freeing attitude. I'm usually the cynic that does not buy into the Zen happy-do-da! I'm a believer now!
The problems with this Audible 'Summary' is the author and guide is flat, joyless and, sorry to say, very uninspiring unlike Kondo herself.
Kondo brings in a sense of spiritualism (not religion). This approach brings what you are doing at a totally different level. It's a Joy not a drudgery.

Great Condensed Version of Original
I read more than 3/4 of the original version of Marie Kondo's book but it was just too much. This version was perfect, to the point, & explained everything in the original without all the "fluff". I got everything I needed & am excited to put it into practice. It was short & I was actually able to listen to the entire book while on a Target run! You really can't beat that! I will definitely be checking out her other works & give this one all the stars!
