Publisher's Summary

Have you ever wondered why it seems that some people have the sun shining on them everywhere they turn, and others don't?

The answer has to do with EQ - emotional intelligence - or the lack thereof. In our society, we try to stifle our emotions. We also tend to try to stifle the emotions of those around us. As a result, we never really connect with ourselves which makes it impossible to connect to each other. That is where this guide comes in.

This audio summary will help you understand Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradberry. In this guide, you will find information about the field of emotional intelligence as well as how to develop the four areas:

  • Self-awareness
  • Self-management
  • Social awareness
  • Relationship management

You will find 17 strategies for developing each area of EQ. As a result, you will be able to connect on a deeper level to others. This will lead to stronger relationships and, quite possibly, promotions at work.

I like this.

GREAT book. This has really helped me and I will continue to use it as a reference. Similar to Strengths Finder by using an online test, with the book as mainly a reference to understand and improve results.

Recommend this book.

True many parts of the book was to technical, but that's because when you don't know why something works like that, the author tries to teach the listener how that works. I definately recommend this book.

Well improve.

Emotional Intelligence has already achieved part of its stated goal, in that the concept has become an accepted and assumed part of our cultural view.

Nice book.

Like an omen while searching for a book to listen, this came up, and the decision to listen the book I now know I was meant to listen it. It was a reminder of things I stopped paying attention to and listening to, my heart.

excellent summary.

I've read both this, and the full version. With the utmost respect to the original authors, this audio summary is all you need unless EQ is a completely brand new concept to you (as the full book contains many illustrative examples of each area).

Very well read, and at 1.5x is the kind of book you can revisit regularly for a refresher. thank you!
