Publisher's Summary

US Navy SEALs lead to win - right? In this audiobook, Jocko Willink and Leif Babin - two Navy SEAL leaders - outline lessons they learned in their time in the military.

They have taken the principles of SEAL leadership and applied them to the business world.

In this guide, you’ll get a brief explanation of principles such as:

  • Taking extreme ownership
  • There are no bad teams, only bad leaders
  • Believe (in the mission)
  • Check the ego
  • Cover and move
  • Simplify everything
  • Prioritize and execute
  • Decentralized command
  • And so much more

These leaders explain the concept from the perspective of the SEAL teams and then take them and explain how they fit into the business world - and how they were used to turn a negative business situation around.

The authors of this audiobook have seen these principles work time and time again. That is why they believe them to be effective.

Informative.

Most interesting leadership book I've ever listen. It is broken into a section showing the leadership skill used in the field by the Seals, then explained in detail, then shown in the business world.

Useful information.

A lot of leadership books say you should plan or you should include your team in the plan, but this one tells you exactly how to do these things. A consistently good listen, entertaining and full of really useful leadership/business advice and details on how to make them work for you.

Throughout the book they show how the leadership skills leads one to Extreme Ownership and success. This should be mandatory listening in all Officer Training Course within the military community.

Most definitely changed my life!

This book is a lesson in leadership starting with yourself and holding you accountable for everything. If we tolerate bad performance, behavior, tactics or actions; that becomes our standard. This book should be required of all new leaders and future leaders.
