Publisher's Summary

When former Navy Seal and lifelong bachelor Ranger Kingston is called upon to take part in a rescue mission to save his brother, Colt, who has been kidnapped by terrorists in Nigeria, he is shocked to find among the hostages a woman he knows and could never forget.

Noemi Sutton was attempting to return a young girl to her family in Boko Haran territory when she and the girl found themselves taken hostage, along with several others.

And while Ranger Kingston may be able to get the hostages away from their captors, he'll need Noemi's help if he ever hopes to get out of Nigeria alive.

Her solution? Pose as husband and wife. But when her uncle discovers the union, he insists on a traditional Nigerian wedding—binding Noemi to a man destined to break her heart. Worse, she's discovered the real reason she was kidnapped, and anyone around her is bound to be caught in the cross fire. Including her so-called new husband.

She'll need to figure out a way to leave the man she loves if she wants to save his life.

USA Today best-selling author Susan May Warren throws you into the thick of the action in this high-stakes, globe-trotting romance.

should have used a fictional country

As a Nigerian this story irks my spirit, and I'm a fan of Susan May Warren. Nothing is accurate. From the roaring lions and other wildlife, to the king,, to the wedding ceremony and the ridiculous story line. It was difficult to finish and cringey.
I'm hesitant to give this review because Susan was trying to honor her new daughter in-law. This missed the mark.
She should have picked a fictional country, which would have made it easier to suspend all belief. Instead she misrepresented the most populous country in Africa.
The story gets an F, but an A for good intentions..

Heart-stopping romance-laced Adventure

SUNBURST takes broken heroes, sets them on a collision course and doesn’t stop until they discover Blindness isn’t just a condition of the eyes, but also of the heart and being seen can bring freedom. Read by an excellent narrator who brings both words and emotions to life. The descriptions of Nigerian life and customs are also exquisite.

do not bother

loved the first book. this one has so many plot holes and makes you suspend your belief in reality way too much. I'm ok with a little unrealistic but this is too much. wanted to love it but couldn't finish it.
