Publisher's Summary

A swoony contemporary YA romance by fan-favorite author Kasie West about a girl who finds that a summer spent at a family resort isn't as bad as she imagined...and that falling in love is filled with heartache, laughter, and surprises!

Avery has always used music as an escape. But after her best friend betrays her, even her perfectly curated playlists can't help her forget what happened. To make matters worse, her parents have dragged her and her social-media-obsessed sister to a remote family camp for two months of "fun". Just when Avery is ready to give up on the summer altogether, she meets Brooks - mysterious, frustratingly charming Brooks - who just happens to be on staff - which means he's off-limits.

What starts as a disaster turns into...something else. As the outside world falls away, Avery embarks on a journey of self-discovery. And when Brooks offers her the chance of a lifetime, she must figure out how far is she willing to go to find out what she wants and who she wants to be.

Fan favorite Kasie West is back with another unforgettable summer romance that reminds us falling in love is full of wonder, heartache, and - most of all - surprises.

Great book, but there is some issues

Great story...I felt this book brought out Kasie's strengths & weakness as a writer...this book took a while to get into a smooth narrative flow. The first few chapters were a bit awkward with a lot of mindless, often annoying small talk amongst characters...but the story as promised finds a flow, really drawing me in to a great love story & good adventure. Would definitely recommend this book's to Kasie West fans...it made the top of my list for her books.

Sweet

Such a lovely book, I truly believe Kasie West can do no wrong. All the characters were endearing and I found the main character to be so relatable. The lyrics were gorgeous and should be real songs. Love story felt genuine for a teen romance. Looking forward to more from her.

Adorable

This was a totally charming story. I loved Avery and Brooks equally and I loved seeing how they grew throughout the story both as individuals and of course together! I also loved Avery’s relationship with her parents and especially her sister. This was one very sweet HEA!

The narration was great and made the characters come alive!

I love her books

I love her books, I found this one to be slightly underwhelming. I will have to read it one more time just to make sure that I feel different or the same for this book. I know I am able to read her books without falling asleep without getting distracted and it just captivates me. This one had a little bit too many boring parts. I like when the book started getting to the middle when it had about three hours left. That is when it kept my attention. For I understand that there was a lot to explain yes nothing was clearly explained and this character was very wishy-washy. I’m hoping that your next book will be something captivating. Or I will keep reading your other box this one I’ll get one more shot and then will be placed on the list of I read that( listened )

Ehh...

I’ve always loved Kasie West’s books but this one felt anti-climatic for me. I kept waiting for something spectacular to happen but it never did. It was also a little too similar to Dirty Dancing at some points which made it feel, I don’t know, not “new” I suppose. Overall this was just okay.

More than one relationship to make you cry

I always love Kasie West’s books because of the sweet romance and fun dialogue, but this newest one brought a fresh surprise. The incredible development and depth of the sibling relationship between Avery and Lauren made me tear up more than once. It is nice to see those side relationships getting the attention they deserve too! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Cute As Expected

Kasie West is one of the few authors that I can't help but to devour her books really fast because I can't get enough of her cute fluffy stories ..
In this book we will meet Avery, she is on a summer vacation with her family in a resort and she finds it the perfect opportunity to figure out the situation with her friend and ex boyfriend .. no phone, no internet, just pure communication .. then she meets Brooks and he makes a challenge for her to find herself and get out of her comfort zone starting with auditioning to a singing competition
I have to admit this book wasn't my absolute favorite of hers but it did have the cute vibe Kasie always manages to give us .. it reminded me a lot of the movie " Camp Rock" .. I literally played the song ( This Is Me) in the last scene of the book LOL but all and all it was a nice read after a heavy book

The narrator was really nice but sometimes she felt monotone to me
