At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. Publisher's Summary
Despite having their secret revealed, the residents of Melbrook Hall return to Lander University for another year in the Hero Certification Program. Good thing the focus of this year is teamwork, because with their origins known, they'll have to lean on each other more than ever.
Now finally sophomores, their curriculum expands, allowing them to train in the majors that Heroes specialize in. The new classes will test their minds, bodies, and determination in ways never anticipated. In a year filled with the unveiling of secrets, unexpected entanglements, and, of course, super-powered battles, who will be left standing is anyone's guess. Because if all that weren't enough, more light is being shed on last year's kidnapping attempt, and the results point at something far bigger than mere rogue educators.
Something that isn't even close to being over with.

I hate Drew Hayes!!!
I picked up this series to kill a little time.
I am now hopelessly addicted to it and saddened to know there is an end to this glorious tale.
There is a character(s) for everyone to identify with in this book. We have all been in these situations and felt the insecurity that these characters have been though.
I am unable to get anything done, I have to find out what becomes of these characters that feel like friends and family to me.
So, in closing "F" Drew Hayes.... I had a life before starting these books!!!!!

Perfect addition to the series.
The author is a bit heavy handed with the "he replied" and "she said" which can make parts of a group conversation a bit of marathon. I respect unabridged is as described but when the narrator goes into easy to follow characters it's tedious. I still absolutely loved it. I also really value that its not the typical 10.5 hour audiobook so you can really get into the story.
Fight scenes can drag a bit at times but thats more of a personal opinion. I am also frustrated with the ongoing cliffhangers that were started in Book 1 with the fantasy answers were coming in Book 2. Then again that's what will likely keep me interested.
I accidentally started with Corpies which lead me to year 1. By the end I was searching for year 2 weeks before it's release. I can't wait until 3 arrives.

A bit more perceptive than the usual spoof
If you take out the slightly annoying "...so-and-so said." that becomes redundant when the conversation is acted out, the story is quite engaging. The characters are believable, and the author exposes the different levels of understanding a given situation might have. I really found myself empathizing with the characters despite the sappy descriptions by the narrator. I was surprised at the depth of detail provided while keeping the story moving quickly. The story is very character driven and the protagonists experience an appreciable amount of change. The narrator has a good range of convincing voices and personalities. Totally recommended series.

If you could sum up Super Powereds: Year 2 in three words, what would they be?
Holy crap... wow.
What did you like best about this story?
twists and turns, unexpected heroes, and a fantastic ending
Which character – as performed by Kyle McCarley – was your favorite?
it's a toss up between Vince and Nick. I love both of those characters so much, and how they were portrayed was fantastic.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not all villains are bad and not all heroes are good.

WOW! Excellent Books for something in this category! You Definitely are not getting your press for such good work; Wow!
I'm truly tired of looking for such great material as I find as I find in these works!
I rarely give such good critique as I have on these pat two works of art.
I truly must go back and check everything you right.
It is as stated and I am rarely this fascinating in so many wonderful character's. KileMcCarley did an amazing job as well.

It's ok.
I'm not sure who the story is meant for. It moves like a young teen story, it has lots of exposition like a young teen story but it has language and some content that absolutely isn't young teen. Despite these failings, but because of the clear world-view and pace of storytelling the book and its predecessor have found a place in my library. They are not challenging at all but are entertaining enough to listen through to the end with no regrets about the purchase.

I'll be the first to admit that honestly the first book in this series was a bit of a slog to get through, with the clunky rough writing. I had hopes for the sequel.. and they were met and surpassed!

These stories keep on drawing me in more and more. There is so much that Drew can do with the story and I'm wondering which way he will go with everything. saving the next book for next month's credit (mainly coz I'm running out of books in the series). My brain keeps tripping over Nick... he is a complex character I hope to see more of in the books to follow.

Great series
Found this series via a litrpg forum. While not strictly a litrpg it is an excellent series so far. Just finished book 2. Die loading book 3 straight away.
The narrator does such an excellent job I will Alonso be looking for other books he has narrated

Absolutely fantastic
Loved it from start to finish. Felt so immersed by the characters and every single word in the story it may have been a favourite television series I've been watching for seasons

Far better than Book 1
This was far better than Book 1, and I'm glad I pushed through it for this one. There's still some things about Drew Hayes's writing style that I dislike (e.g. the way he skirts around the main point of a section to provide mock suspense, the slow pacing of action, ), but these were far diminished (if not completely alleviated) in comparison to the first book. I actually cared about the characters this time around, and I felt like their motivations were much more compelling. Kyle McCarley's range of character voices is also amazing (and necessary given the massive cast of characters) - you can most often figure out which character is speaking even before they are introduced by name. Looking forward to listening to books 3 and 4!

Mostly good
Overall the book is pretty good. There is a bunch of fat that could have been cut out as the story can waffle on. Most of the characters are engaging with the exception of Nick who comes across as a typical Larry Stu making most of his scenes very predictable. Unfortunately, both the Nick issue and waffling are symptoms of the same lack of rigorous editing.
The performance was great with each character being read distinct.
If you enjoyed the first book then you'll likely enjoy this one. It's not great literature but it's still pretty good.

Absolutely love it
I can't get enough of the characters - Hayes did such an exceptional job at developing the characters and takes you on a ride during their sophomore year it's incredible. Likewise, McCarleys narration is amazing and one of the best I have encountered through my sci fi reading!
Can't wait to listen to the rest in the series and the spinoffs.
