Publisher's Summary

A basketball coach turned business consultant shares high-performance secrets and shows how you can build the mental fortitude necessary to stay on top of your game.

What makes the best the best? Ultimately the best are where they are because of the mindset, habits, and rituals they have—both in their respective “arenas”, but also in private, during the unseen hours. Success isn’t something that happens to you. It's something you attract and you create. Successful people do the little things better than everyone else because they know all the big things arise from them. The highest performers in all walks of life have taken full ownership. They got to where they are and have stayed there because they have chosen to establish, tweak, and repeat positive habits. They understand that you can’t be selective when it comes to excellence, that how we do anything is how we do everything.

Based on his years as a successful basketball performance coach—training superstars like Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant—and a speaker and trainer to major companies like Pepsi and Amex, Alan Stein brings you the keys to lasting, unimaginable success. The secret? Return to the basics. They're simple, but they're not easy. But the truth is that more connected, productive, and influential leaders and teammates find long-lasting success not with big flashy changes, but with the accumulated of the little things.

Sustain Your Game teaches you how to bring your A game to every area of your life. With advice from top CEOs, journalists, social scientists, and more, you'll learn the framework for how to beat stress, stagnation, and burnout. Sustain Your Game will help you be the best in your arena, wherever that may be.

Another Fantastic Book

I LOVED Alan Stein’s Jr first book and listened to it many times to capture all the powerful concepts. This one is just as good and I am on my second time listening to it. If you have middle school/high school children they will also get great value from this book. The sports analogies/sports connections hit home for them and keep them engaged. DEFINITELY worth reading/listening to!

Fantastic Book!

So well written and such fantastic content - I’ll be buying a physical book so I can take notes! I posted about it on Instagram and Alan Stein Jr was kind enough to reach out and thank me - a true class act. Very impressed by his work and I plan to read his other book(s) as well!

HE DID IT AGAIN!!

Alan Stein’s, “Raise Your Game” was an incredible read in its own right, and this follow up was just as powerful, if not better! As a teacher and a coach there are a plethora of valuable gems he drops throughout the book not only for myself, but to share with others. I have already recommended his books to many friends and will continue to do so!

I’m not a “Sports Fan”

Awesome listen Alan Stein, Jr. ! I’m not a sports fan, however, I do appreciate an athlete’s talent, hard work and discipline… and I do love competition. Listening to Alan on Ed Mylett's podcast, prompted me to give this book a shot and try something different from what I’ve been listening to over the last several months. Happy I did! As I’m just starting out on building my own business, there were several key tips and reminders. He's entertaining to listen to and a great storyteller!

I am thankful for this book

As a pregnant athlete and business women - who started stalling because my life was turned upside down when I could no longer compete - I find this book amazing. It took me right back into the athlete mindset, which I can use in my everyday life to optimize my routines, relationships and goals.

Eventhough I did a lot of mental training over the years, this book has taught me things and given me the necessary reminders.

Most importantly a reminder about how your mentality is either your limit or your strongest asset. I choose asset. And when I find myself in doubt of that, I will give this book a re-listen.
