Would you consider the audio edition of Sway to be better than the print version?

Yes, because being able to hear the emotion and feeling in the performances really elevates the story to a whole new level. The book is wonderful, but the audiobook is incredible.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sway?

It was towards the very end, when Alison voices her final doubts and Barrett masterfully eases them one by one with words of hope and love. It was really a sweet "what if" moment between the 2 of them and showed how well matched they are.

Which character – as performed by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross – was your favorite?

I loved Wen Ross as Barrett, but it was actually Daphne who stole the show! She was voiced perfectly by Kai Kennicott and was the quintessential love to hate them character. Some may feel she was voiced a little over the top, but I think her spoiled and elitist attitude were captured wonderfully.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Politics, Scandals, & Grapes Oh My! ;)

Politics and Grapes ... Not Just for the Romans!

Whoa, after that grape scene I needed a dry pair. This is the beginning of what seems to be another fantabulous series by this magnificent trio -- Adriana Locke writing the words that Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross just bring to life. I'm in love with the Landrys and it's going to be great getting to know which brother I like best. It will be hard to top Barrett cause he has passion and commitment on lock down -- what's more swoon worthy than that.

Adrana Locke is one of my favorite authors and I have listened to all of her available audio books and I am anxiously awaiting the next installment of the Landry family.

Absolutely worth the credit.

YAYE.. I'D VOTE BARRETT LANDRY FOR PRESIDENT

What a great start (and introduction) to the Landry family.. they're tight, loving and supportive of one another and, as the electoral votes are being counted for Mayor Barrett Landry, all the family come home to be there for their oldest sibling. Can he become the next Governor.. and, with his morals and his heart held in the balance, just what will this race cost him?

He's handsome, wealthy, sexy and a charismatic Playboy and, when Barrett is served drinks by a beautiful waitress, little does he know it but his bachelor days will be numbered. However, Barrett has a struggle ahead of him because single Mom Alison has been burned once before by an ambitious ruthless man and she has no plans of going there again. But, the more time Alison spends in the company (and arms) of Barrett Landry, the more she realizes he is nothing like her ex. Unfortunately though certain people have their own agendas that will shake things up, bring back damaging memories and drive the loving couple apart.

This book was so good and I just didn't want to stop the flow of the story and yet I didn't want it to end either. Both the hero and heroine were likeable and deserved their HEA with each other after the muddied waters they were forced to swim through. It's a feel-good romance with sexy times as well as romantic ones as the handsome batchelor struggles with his conscience, rethinks his life goals and earns the love of a good woman.. and her 10 yr old son. A rich cast of likeable secondary characters who are waiting in the wings to get their own love stories. Wen and Kai's dual POV narration was wonderful and brought a quality to the story that took it beyond a 5* listen.

Worth a credit? YES and I'm looking forward to getting to know all the other Landry siblings as they get their own books - and up next is baseball star Lincoln's story which is set to be just as entertaining and just as enjoyable as his older brother's story was.

Great Book

If you could sum up Sway in three words, what would they be?

Amazing Love Story

Have you listened to any of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have and they are all amazing. Kai and Wen bring life to the characters that many other narrators do not bring.

Sway by Adriana Locke was a great book. Alison Baker is a single mother who's trying to rebuild life for her and her son. Barrett Landry is one of the biggest bachelor's in politics. I loved reading about their journey from chance encounter to love. This was a great read and I can't wait to read more by Adriana Locke. I recommend everyone to read this book.

I'll Never Look At Grapes The Same Again...

This is my third book by Adriana Locke, and I'm really enjoying her writing style. I like how she combines real life emotions, and weaves in the right amount of conflict, angst and chemistry to hook the listener. Her stories may start out mild, but they build steam and momentum as the story progresses. While Adriana is developing the attraction, chemistry, and sexual tension between the H/h, she treats the listener to some really steamy erotic sex scenes while preparing the listener for the upcoming conflict, and plot twists. The grape scene left me speechless!

Sway's plot was well developed, but it's the characters that really made this story. They were multilayered, likable and had unique personalities. You couldn't help but to fall in love with them all, especially Barrett.

While this was a good story, the narration stole the show. In the audiobook world, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott know how to deliver the "total package." Their performance is always an audio delight. Whatever written emotions are being portrayed, these two narrators excel at bringing those emotions to life. From happy, sad, angry, to lust, and a whole list of other emotions, they can flawlessly deliver them all.

Sway was an entertaining story, with a good plot, that takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster ride that ends with a heart-warming HEA. Another great KU/whispersync deal!

Adriana Locke did an amazing job with this story. I loved Barrett and Alison and thought that they were just so cute together. I loved that the Landry family is a close-knit family. Kai and Wen always do an excellent job with narration and Wen voice is just soooo sexy. This is a really great hot, sexy romance novel and I would definitely recommend it.

I loved this book ‼‼ this is book 1 in the Landry series and is a stand alone book with a wonderful HEA. I recommend this book to all romance lovers. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Wen and Kai are awesome narrators. They give each character a unique voice. Love them together.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sway to be better than the print version?

Both are equally good.Sway is one of those books that offers a well written and narrated story.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters!!Allison is a wonderful smart, capable heroine. She is a single mother fighting to raise her son in the best way possible. I loved the principles she instilled in him. His ability to see people for who they are.Allison was hurt in the past and was reluctant to start a relationship and be vulnerable again, especially with a man in Barrett's position, but I was proud of her courage in following her heart and giving Barrett a chance.Barrett was a wonderful character. He is the kind of politician we want in real life. He had to fight to remain true to himself and his beliefs and didn't just have his eye on the end game. He wanted to get elected to make a difference to better people's life, and I admired him for it.Allison's son was another great character. He was mature for his age, had his mother's back and supported her decision to give Barrett a chance (even if he Barrett couldn't throw a ball to save his life).

What does Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kai and Wen are fantastic narrators!They complimented one another and you actually feel you are part of the story.It's a dual narration at its best. Kai and Wen narrate ALL the chapters together and the story and characters come to life. I give them both 5 stars for narrating Sway.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the moments between Allison and her son. I loved seeing him support her, his acceptance of Barrett and the whole Landry Family .I enjoyed Barrett's interactions with his mother. She supported him and encouraged him to follow his heart and gut.

My Two Pennies

No second thoughts ever. I was totally voting for Landry from the start the way he was with Alison. I loved everything about this book we were right there with Barrett as he was going through the process for running for Governor, and Alison was trying to stay out of the spotlight this time round. The whole Landry family were the family you wanted for yourself, all so welcoming and caring. Just like most stories there were some rough patches but to see how they get through it just put a smile on my face. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
