Publisher's Summary

It is enough to break any man: watching what could have been my future slip away before it was ever in my grasp.

The possibility of losing someone I loved before she was even mine is something I never would have imagined. Certainly nothing I'd ever wish on anyone. I go to her every day and wait. Wait for the impossible, for a sign, for her to look at me...hoping that sinners are granted miracles, too.

Just one glimpse of him was all it took. In the next lane at a stoplight was the man I would fall in love with and marry. People talk about the kind of love that takes time, love you fall into. We were more like a crash and burn, and when our lives intertwined I would never be the same. He was the man I would cherish the rest of my life, who would father my children. In an instant our life together began, and in an instant it would end. The late nights; the excuses; the lies. And in the blink of an eye, it was like we never were.

Contains mature themes.

Wow!

I loved this book. Please tell me a sequel is coming. I never write reviews, but felt like I needed to let readers know this book is well worth every minute I spent listening to it.
Thank you, CMW

Do NOT waste your time!

I NEVER write reviews, and I rarely read them either. But oh how I wish I had read the reviews before listening to this. I feel compelled to warn everyone that is considering downloading about this book because the ending will make you want to scream. It’s like the authors just kept writing the story and didn’t know how to end it so they just stopped.
I’ve read all of the beautiful disaster books and LOVED them. That just made my disappointment with this one that much more painful.
By the way I don’t agree with the people who didn’t like the narrators. I thought they were great.

Warning - Worst Narrators EVER

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

On several occasions I tried to listen to this book. Finally by chapter 6, over the span of a year, I had to stop.

What could Jamie McGuire and Teresa Mummert have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Who are they? I still cannot even say what the book was about, who the main characters were, or what they were droning on about; the narration was just so incredibly bad.

What didn’t you like about Nelson Hobbs and Carly Robins ’s performance?

Are they the narrators...The narration is just god-awful.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

A person in a coma would wake up and scream for the readers to shut up!!!

Any additional comments?

I wish I could get my credit back but I had the book too long.

Le Sigh

The angst! The feels! The intensity! The love! I can't even stand it with this book. Then you throw in the confusing mystery of it all and I am just so in love with all of it.

I'm not even going to attempt to review the plot because there are too many ways that spoilers can get out and I think this book is better going in blind. I will say that nothing is what you think and you do get an HEA. This book would translate to a movie so perfectly.

Nelson and Carly were the perfect choice for narrators. Nelson had the cocky asshole turned introspective idiot nailed and Carly does such a good job portraying characters from all ages and genders. They nailed it!

Not good

Started perfect ended huh I have reread because I really was confused. Not sure if the authors meant to end it like this the last 1/4 of the book was stupid

Bad ending

Loved the story and was completely committed, until the ending! 8 hours of listening for it to end that way, so disappointed! And the guy reading kept breathing really weird at the end of all his lines!

I really enjoyed the majority of this book

I'm a big fan of Jamie McGuire and I really enjoyed the majority of this book, **spoilers ahead**: except for the ending. I was also confused how she could forgive some pretty big mistakes but was ready to throw everything away over circumstantial conjecture. Regardless, it was still a good read.

Listen to the end!

Avery's paranoia got irritating a bit, but....just hold out to the end. It's worth it.
