Publisher's Summary

This box set contains books four to six in Jessie Gussman's Sweet Water Ranch series.

Book Four - The Cowboy's Best Friend's Sister

She’s his best friend’s little sister. He’s never noticed her. Not like that. He needs to marry to inherit his money, so he’s hired a woman to be his fake bride. Only he’s too sick to get married. Now, he’s confined in his small house with his fake fiancée-to-be and his best friend’s little sister. The ladies don’t seem to get along. And, one of them isn’t what he thought. Should he follow the plan, or follow his heart?

Book Five - The Cowboy's Convenient Marriage

It was supposed to be simple; marry the tall Texan. Her children get a father. They save the ranch. A business transaction, nothing more. She definitely wasn’t going to fall in love. After her husband ran off with her little sister, she was no longer susceptible to cowboy charm. Except, the North Dakota girl had never met a Texas cowboy. He married her for the ranch. A former champion bull rider needs a spread to call home, even if it is in North Dakota. Even if it comes with four little kids. And a big, black, slobbering dog. Especially if it comes with a woman with enough sweetness and enough toughness to rope his heart and heal it. The cowboy’s not afraid of anything…except losing his heart again.

Book Six - The Cowboy's Fairy Tale

He’s the billionaire heir of Sweet Water Ranch. His family is throwing a ball, and he must choose a wife. She’s too poor to attend the ball as a guest. But, she can go as the hired help. One magical dance and a case of mistaken identity later, and nothing is as it seems. If he backs out, he loses everything. She never had anything to lose to begin with. Other than her soul mate. Will he choose love over a multi-billion dollar business and the biggest ranch in North Dakota? Can she let him give up everything for her?

Wonderful box set

This is the second box set in the series. Jessie's characters are believable and her storylines keep you wanting more.

Jay's performance is always outstanding. His pace is perfect and he brings the exact right emotion to the scene.

Jessie and Jay are my all time favorite writer and narrator.

More amazing stories with a great narrator

Best Friend's Sister:
I’ve been waiting for this matchup since the second book. A high level of anticipation with each hint we got. However, I still wasn’t prepared for the intensity and incredibility of this book. It was amazing. Part of me wants to immediately reread it! I can’t wait to see what other books come out of Sweet Water.
Audio:
The hospital saga and all of the “scoops” are wonderful in audio! Another wonderful audiobook by Dyess. Loved it.

Convenient Marriage:
I really enjoyed Rem and Elaine’s story. They both were overcoming heartache and choosing a difficult path. I especially liked the emphasis on the children. I’m excited to read the next book!
Audio:
It’s amazing to me that even though I read this series earlier this year, I am so much enjoying listening to them! I really thing this one hit the heart even harder through audio.

Fairy Tale:
This book has elements of Cinderella in it. I really loved Nell’s heart and smile and choice to be happy and gracious. I think it’s something sorely lacking in our world today. I also liked Ryder and his reasonings and how things came along as he worked through his thoughts and feelings. I was excited to be introduced to a couple characters that we’ll see in upcoming books.
Audio:
Reading a fairy tale - listening to a fairy tale. They are both lovely! I love how Dyess can make so many characters - and personalities - come alive.

Boxsets are perfect for binge-reading this series!

These box sets are seriously perfect for binge-reading the Sweet Water Ranch series. Whether that's good news or bad, or if that's gonna improve your productivity or not, that's up to you. Great stories, though I loved some more than others. Great narration as always from Jay.

BOOK 4: The Cowboy's Best Friend's Sister was such a sweet book! I'm totally hooked on this series, and knowing how good Jessie's take was on the "best friends to lovers" trope, I was definitely looking forward to this one. And let me tell you, she totally delivered!! I loved Georgia's caring attitude towards Sawyer since he starts the book sick, as well as her willingness to help him with the ranch work. I also enjoyed his POV showing his loyalty to his work (though at times it could seem taken to an extreme, especially the lengths he could go to in his caring for his land and cows), but I especially loved his fighting his feelings for Georgia. Their chemistry and banter were really good and I loved all the nicknames regarding the "scoops".

Jay was great as always with performing the voices and accents of not only Georgia and Sawyer and the rest of their community, but also the more citified ones of Danielle and Ken. He also nailed all the little nuances and inflections (weakness, shortage of breath, husky tones, etc). And of course, the added sounds of the incoming text messages definitely help with the flow of the story. ~ 5 stars

Content (mild spoilers):
Sex: yes, but closed-door (after they kiss, and then characters are shown waking up together the next day). It only happens after they've been married and have confessed feelings for the other.
Other: adoption: a grown character finds out they're adopted.

BOOK 5: Having already read The Cowboy's Convenient Marriage, I knew how it'd all play out, and maybe it was because of that, but I think I ended up enjoying it more this time around. Of course, the other reason would be that I got to listen to it as an audiobook, and thanks to Jay's skills, the experience was a totally different one. I loved all the different voices he gave to the kids, but I also loved the contrast between Elaine's and Rem's accents, since she's from ND and he's from Texas. There may be one time when one of the male voices sounded a bit feminine to me, but since he's a minor one, I'm choosing to overlook it. I also loved seeing past characters pop up and get updates on how they're doing; as well as enjoyed the fact that even though it's the same setup (letter and so on) that one of the MCs has received in every story from this series, it played out completely different for them. Still, this is a good story with plenty of chemistry and sweet romance, and I can't wait to dive into the next one in this series! ~ 5 stars

Content:
Sex: yes, but closed-door. (It's done in the same vein as the previous book).

BOOK 6: The Cowboy's Fairytale is the obvious retelling of the Cinderella story with Jessie's own take on it, and what a take it is! There's certainly <s>Cinderella</s> Nell and <s>the Prince</s> Ryker, as well as the evil sisters (readers will especially love to hate one of them). I liked their meet-cute, and how the reader gets to see his compassionate nature and willingness to help from the start. The romance is the author's usual brand of slow-burn sizzling sweet, but their first kiss is well worth the wait. I liked Nell's kind disposition, her outlook on life and her choice to remain happy no matter what life threw at her, as well as her fierce love for her brother. I also enjoyed Ryker's growth throughout the story, learning the ropes of being a foreman and not being afraid of hard work. I think either I didn't get the explanation behind the shoes or it could have been explained better. Oh, and that ending was equal parts nail-biting and pretty much unexpected.

Jay did his usual great job, just as he's been doing so far in the series, bringing all the characters to life and pulling off both sophisticated adults, ranchers, as well as children. His including some of the laughs or sighs when a character is talking definitely made for a better experience.

A nice continuation to the Sweet Water Ranch series, perfect for lovers of Sweet Romance, Jessie Gussman, Jay Dyess as a narrator, and/or Contemporary fairytale retellings. I can't wait to read "Preacher"/Clay's story. ~ 4 stars

Romance in three story's

Touching story's all with a happy ending but the road there is not straight but they do touch the heart strings. Narrated very nicely with just a little twang, love it.
