Publisher's Summary

A hero has risen, but is his sword ready for what lies ahead?

Dennis rides onward toward his destiny, manning up for his quest to rescue all the college babes in peril he can find.

With his women by his side, he sets upon a journey to the strange lands of the North, hoping to chase down a rumored lost hottie from back home and gain knowledge and allies he'll need when his time to face the Dark One comes.

But the horseback road trip is anything but an easy ride through the countryside, when vagabonds, lurking monsters, and dark sorcerers with sinister plans rise from the shadows to threaten him and the lives of the women he's sworn to protect.

Can he swing his mighty sword enough to thrust his way ever closer to destiny, or will the wilds of Galderia and the forces of darkness prove too much for him?

Great title and a very enjoyable isekai fantasy!

Swing and Thrust is more than just a terrific name for a haremlit story, it’s the long-awaited book two of the Sword and Sorority trilogy.

Happily, the original narration duo VAs have returned, and Christian J. Gilliland and Hazel Cohen return to give us terrific performances. What I like in particular about Christian is that he sounds like an adult. Far too many haremlit audiobooks, especially in the currently popular “academy” subgenre stories, use a male narrator who sounds far too young to be engaging in harem activities. I can never “self insert”, as they say, into stories narrated by kids with acne.

Hazel, of course, delivers her usual, and very enjoyable, breathlessly sultry sensual voice.

The story picks up immediately after events of book one, a day after Cormac’s funeral. Den and his harem of Galderian women, along with earth women Monica and Victoria continue working to achieve their two missions. As the summoned Guardian of Galderia, Den must eventually defeat the evil Thautus Kurg. On the way to his dominion, though, Den and his team continue seeking out and saving other earth women who were transported to Galderia when Den was summoned. Now, I mention these details to demonstrate that if you haven’t yet read or listened to book one in the series….start there before reading book two!

There are lots of giant spiders, but there are more battles against people than monsters. Den’s college crush Professor Thompson has a very interesting role throughout book two, but….no spoilers!

Den’s “did I say that out loud” type of thinking is often hilarious, and the women each have distinct personalities. If you enjoy isekai haremlit, I’m sure you will enjoy this book very much. 5* for the story and the VA performances!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Receiving a review copy did not influence my rating or my review.

Pretty good overall

It's always painful when the mc has to learn to get out of his own way. You can see the plot progression through the mc's personal monologues. Overall the first book was better but you still have some funny moments mixed with naughty scenes and Sword Fights!!! Very good testosterone filled book. The Narration team did a good job breathing life into our mc and his girls. A nice beat your chest book.

Great series.

I love this series. Dennis and his women are badass.
I’ve read all 3 but love the audio more. Scot hit it out of the park with this series. The dual narration brings it to life. I’m a huge fan of Hazel Cohen, her range of voices are pretty amazing.

Great

I thought this was a great continuation of the story of Den. The book, for me at least, has the right amount of action, suspense and humor to really keep the listeners interested.

Fantastic narration duo. They do an amazing job with all the different characters and story progression.
