Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

What is it really like to be a housewife? We all want to know, but only the women we love to watch and the people who make the show have the whole story. Well, listen in close, because they’re about to tell all. Nearly all the wives, producers, and network executives, as well as Andy Cohen himself, are on the record, unfiltered and unvarnished about what it really takes to have a tagline. This is your VIP pass to the lives behind the glam squads, testimonials, and tabloid feuds. Life’s not all diamonds and rosé, but the truth is so much better, isn’t it?

What does “Give them Lala” mean? It means giving the truest, most honest version of yourself to the world. It means being authentic, bold, adventurous, and having an unapologetic approach to life. Hollywood is where Lauren Burningham, aspiring actress from Utah, fully embraced her alter-ego Lala Kent, entrepreneur, entertainer, and film and television star. Some say she’s rude; Lala says she claps back. Some say she’s too bold; Lala knows she’s reality TV gold. Truth is, without giving them Lala, Lauren could never have become the woman she is today.

Publisher's Summary
TMI is the story of how Mario Lavandeira became Perez Hilton, a celebrity blogger with millions of readers around the globe who was sometimes called the Most Hated Man in Hollywood. Growing up in Miami’s Little Havana in the 1980s, Perez was bullied at school because of his weight and his sexual orientation, so he devoted all his free time to eating and watching TV in his bedroom. A scholarship to NYU was a lifesaver, as Perez felt at home in New York. But his finances took a battering, and he moved on to LA. After being fired from three different jobs within the space of 10 months, Perez suddenly hit it big in 2005 with his gossip blog. With Perez’s help, many promising young artists reached the masses - Katy Perry, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Lady Gaga, to name just a few. Perez soon became a Hollywood insider, but during his dramatic fallout with Lady Gaga, he realized he had been used. Perez’s blog became increasingly mean - “It went from bitchy to nasty”, he recalls.
But a turning point came when Perez uploaded a video for the It Gets Better campaign and was surprised by the backlash it received. People called him a bully and a hypocrite because he previously outed gay celebrities on his blog. Perez was forced to reevaluate not only his alter ego, but also himself as a person. Following the birth of his son, he was also faced with a number of new opportunities for growth and personal reflection. TMI reveals the man behind the blog in a new, revealing, and still-juicy memoir.

Put some clothes on for your cover.
I get that the TMI title flows into a concept of some type of revealing cover, but it’s hard to look at.
I actually looked into a setting where I could remove it from displaying.
It’s not because of his attractiveness level, he is a decent looking person, but do you have to select a cover that no one would even want to see a male model dressed as.
He’s so determined to have more money/success, here was your blown opportunity to control your image with positivity.
But choose something that is such a turnoff!? You should’ve realized people have to look at this every time they pause or play..
Choose better next time. it could have been artistic, fun, and flattering! Good luck buddy!

Even for free, it wasn’t worth my time
There is nothing extraordinarily compelling about Mario’s life story. From humble beginnings to rubbing elbows with the rich and famous, yadda, yadda, yadda... He still sounds like an adolescent in both his delivery and his insights, and the remorse he expresses for his former bullying ways does not come across as sincere.
He does deserve credit for relentless hustling and high work ethic that led to his success, but at the end of the day, I don’t buy what he sells, so I’m glad I didn’t pay money for this listen.

Love this man, this is so hilariously uncomfortably honest
As a product of the generation who invented social media I absolutely love how well this book is put together!
Hilarious stories, clips of the gossip I know you are looking for-you will not be disappointed!!
Back in the day we could live life and no one would see the pictures or hear the rumors because no one was posting to social media in real time!
I started high school a week before 9-11 occurred; & the thought my entire extended family was there but there was no way for me to contact them back then BUT today a cousin of mine will answer to FaceTime while in the shower in New York City!!
I followed Brittany from day one so Perez Hilton became a known personality years later, who is a trailblazer for the LGBTQ community in my opinion!!
As I graduated high school in 2005 I was lucky my small town, San Antonio, Tx was just beginning to learn how to use MySpace! I slid into adulthood with the biggest sigh of relief that my child will never know how big of an idiot I was until I decide to share it with her!! I’m glad in this huge racist, land of suppression people like Perez Hilton have the courage to be THEMSELVES! You will laugh, maybe cry, but laugh until you’re peeing your pants with his detailed accounts of events that you’ve always wanted to know why he did what he did!!!
I hope he never apologizes and stays true to himself because as Americans you should know we prefer the gossiping chisme over living in reality to help us cope with the shit storm we let happen!
Thank you for writing this Perez!!!

VAPID!!
This book is sooo shallow! The author, bless his heart, is a terrible narrator and I had a really tough time getting into it. Once I did I found many parts of the story annoying. You don’t really get a few for who the person is, rather he is simply recounting events of his life in a way that an outside observer would. I had to force myself to finish the book only to find that it had no redeeming qualities. Don’t waste your time, just google him.

Entertaining, truthful, shocking.
I didn't know much about Perez Hilton before listening to this other than he was some kind of objectionable and nasty little man making a living from writing horrible things about celebrities. But I thought the book might be entertaining and have some juicy celeb gossip. I wasn't wrong on either count. However, throughout the book you do see the story of Perez develop and realise that he's moved on from (and even regrets) many of the nasty things he has written. I enjoyed Perez telling his own story in his own lively and animated way and I really warmed to him. From the story of his friendship with Lady Gaga to his shocking stunt for the Harvey Weinstein show, this book is never boring.

Loved!!
Perez used to be a marmite character and I LOVED him back in the beginning even when he was mean to everyone (sorry!) before we were all made aware of how badly this makes people (celebs) feel about themselves. But he owns this part of his past, he committed to change and he has stuck to that! He is very humble, very family oriented very VERY hardworking and so passionate in all he does! I found this book so fun to listen to! He has such a colourful life both good and bad!

I enjoyed the book on the whole, I loved the gossip. After reading it though I did feel like there is something not very nice about perez, his version of events are blatantly one sided, and he seems to be a bit of a diva, so it was hard to empathise. But It’s a very entertaining listen.

Definitely TMI but great.
Pre-ordered this way before it came out. Was not disappointed. There was literally one section when I thought “Oh my goodness Perez that’s TMI!” However overall it was just great. Loved it. Good on you, fellow.

it was fine
A bit of background insight to a past big name, sounds like he really messed a number of people's lives around. Says his remorseful - he might be, or he might just know that's the proper thing to say now to get a more positive following.
Either way, easy book to listen to with short chapters means you can just chuck it on and listen to one chapter or multiple with whatever timeframe you've got.

Entertaining and easy to listen to
This audiobook has exceeded my expectations! I smashed through it in a day. The narration was great, and very easy to listen to. It felt very personal as if he’s a friend just chatting your ear away. Keeps you paying attention the whole time. There’s no dull chapter. I often catch my self re-listening certain parts because of how hilarious it is, as well as the sad hard hitting behind the scenes celebrity stories, as well as Perez’s childhood.
From childhood memories, to celebrity relationships (lady Gaga, Amanda Bynes). I must say Perez has outdone himself, I hope someone can produce his life into a movie, because from what I’ve listened to it is CRAZY! 💕
There are a few expose’s the most jaw dropping one FOR ME was John Meyer. 🤭
The only critique I have, for the sake of improvement. Midway through I did notice that the quality of narration fluctuating, it sounded like he was obviously reading, rather than the natural conversational way of narration on most part. But that’s just me being too critical.
CANT WAIT FOR ANOTHER ONE!

Light & Fun
If you like listening to light hearted celebrity (Hollywood) biographies, you will like this. It was a little short and it felt lacking in details at some points. You can tell it was written by ghost writers. But overall, it was pleasant and gave some insight into Perez’s past. If you like him now, I think you get more listening to his weekly Podcast.
