Publisher's Summary

Trying to take a few brief moments away from a stressful situation, Reagan Murphy snags the last table at a bustling downtown lunch spot. When another woman walks into the crowded restaurant seeking a table, Reagan offers to share hers.

Jillian Jacobs just wanted a quick bite before she'd have to focus on a new and unreasonable deadline. Irritated by her empty stomach and by the prospect of waiting, Jillian resentfully accepts a seat at a stranger's table.

Their shared lunch is filled with hostility, snide comments, and shades of derision from Jill, and Reagan finds herself relieved at the end of the encounter.

But then the two are thrown back together when Jill becomes a catering client of Reagan's. Soon navigating a professional relationship becomes complicated as their attraction begins to smolder. Will it get in the way and cause even bigger problems? Or will this be the start of something they've both been looking for all along?

What can be better than

A great story, an excellent way to create MC, and a wonderful narration. I loved this book.

Drama

Overall great book!! Didn't need the extra drama from Jill. Sometimes lesbian novels can be too damn emotional. Adding the end with Jill not showing up extra hurdle that was too much.

Thumbs up

I like this book. It's a story of figuring out what is important in life, realizing we can all be better than our parents... I also really enjoyed the narrator.

Enemies to lovers

At first I was unsure about this book. But I am really glad that I listened to it. Such a good story about two people finding each other and themselves.

Hopelessly Romantic

This is a really good romance story as you have two well developed main characters and a good group of supporting friends. As Jill learns how to show love and learns what is truly important to her, Reagan struggles with loss and strong attraction to a person most would have said - no way to getting involved with. It's great to see how a single person can see what other may not see in a person deep down inside. if you're a hopelessly romantic person I believe you will enjoy this story. written well and I have found a new narrator to follow. Enjoy life and love well.

Great

I really liked the narrator, she is my new favorite! And this is a first from this author and I really loved the book. It hit home and was cheering for the MC, both beautiful women! Jill’s mom is similar to mine and I lived Reagan’s mom and friends! This is such a great book and would like to here more from this narrator and read more from this author!

Loved it

Loved the two main characters. Loved the narration. There were some name mix ups in the writing(I’d assume since the narrator used the wrong persons name at certain times)which was weird but didn’t create much confusion :) lovely book and narration

weak women

I do not care who you are, you do not let anyone treat you like that. To me you didn't finish the story.
you let the mother and everybody treat her so bad that we didn't get the satysfaction of her telling them
she felt. Its a pity you made her seem so strong but kept her weak and abused.

Didn't Enjoy the Writing

I have been following Anastasia Watley, I've enjoyed her narrating. This author's writing was not for me. I won't be returning to her books.
