Publisher's Summary

Step into Shadow Falls, a camp for teens with supernatural powers. Here friendship thrives, love takes you by surprise, and our hearts possess the greatest magic of all.

Kylie Galen wants the truth so badly she can taste it. The truth about who her real family is, the truth about which boy she’s meant to be with - and the truth about what her emerging powers mean. But she's about to discover that some secrets can change your life forever… and not always for the better.

Just when she and Lucas are finally getting close, she learns that his pack has forbidden them from being together. Was it a mistake to pick him over Derek? And it’s not just romance troubling Kylie. An amnesia-stricken ghost is haunting her, delivering the frightful warning: someone lives and someone dies.

In C.C. Hunter's Taken at Dusk, Kylie races to unravel the mystery and protect those she loves, finally unlocking the truth about her supernatural identity, which is far different - and more astonishing - than she ever imagined.

Not great but not horrible

While I feel like this author is dragging the story out for sales, it's still not a horrible series. I've definitely read worse writing and like the feeling of mystery that this book gives me. Also great for old school Twilight fans to have a new set of boys to debate who is best. Don't mind the series but it's definitely not that fantastic.

Just ready for the answers

Is the author ever going to get to the point? I need to know who she is and what is going to happen!

I can't stop listening to this series

such a great take on growing pains, diversity and acceptance, first love and parental trust. I do love this series as an older adult there is some nostalgia to my feelings similar to some of the story lines that are told so well. Bravo C.C., for incorporating good manners and ethics prior to the current millennial selfishness and disrespect.

Another great one

I love this series and this one didn't disappoint. The only thing that drives me crazy is how she doesn't tell people things that happen to her because she wants to deal with it on her own or whatever, otherwise no real complaints. Can't wait to read the next book.

exasperation

torn between not finishing the series and continuing. there are times I adore this book and previous ones and others where I think get real. readers are supposed to believe all of this life changing nonsense takes place in a few short weeks. Ridiculous tiresome love triangles, the constant protect Kylie brigade, not to mention her constant meddling in other people's business. And the end is hardly a revelation.

Be prepared for tears!

The American reading still grates on me but I love this story, and this book delivers a lot more emotion than the previous ones. Have tissues ready!
