Sweet and Sexy

I liked this book. the story was sweet and homey. there wasn't any bullshit angst or drama. it was just a story of two people falling i love and trying to figure out their futures. I wanted something light and I got exactly what i wanted. While there are many books in the series before this one the book can be read as a stand alone. I wasn't lost at all even with other family members being mentioned. Hi-5 to Melissa Foster!!

I need more

Now I have to read all the other books. The narrator pulls you into the story with ease. I kinda like how the suspense of the story was emotional. You really work through the past problems with daisy and Luke. I smiled through the whole book.

Worth a read

Such a lovely love story about two people who've known each other for ages, went their own ways for a time and then met up again and after a while they realize that they are in fact in love with each other. There are a few ups and downs in their environment while they decide how they can make a life together and they eventually sort themselves out.
This was one of those books that is beautifully written, holds ones interest and I just hated that it ended, but there are others in this series so YAY!
The narration of this audiobook is superb. Such a beautiful voice.

A very sweet and sexy tale

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the interplay between Luke and Daisy where they were both unsure of their own worth. Luke had a past he was hiding from and so did Daisy. Listening to them finally open up to each other was so emotional.

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I don't have much time for reading these days, so I would say I love to listen while doing other things. B.J. Harrison brings warmth and snark to the story which makes it all the more enjoyable.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It's not what they say about you that matters, but who you are.

I've always enjoyed Melissa Foster's stories and Taken By Love is no exception.

Great journey through a budding romance

Very enjoyable and easy to follow while I was working in the gardens. The story line was wonderful and classy romantic with a twist of slight ecstasy.

Fun and Sassy Romance

Would you consider the audio edition of Taken by Love to be better than the print version?

Since I hadn't read this title in print I can't answer this question, however I purchased it because it sounded like it might be a light-hearted romance that would be fun to listen to at work and it completely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the story line and am not looking into more of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved so many things about the story. I was looking for something fun and I found it.

Which scene was your favorite?

There is a scene in the book where the community comes together to run a clinic. I loved the whole thing.

Really good!

This was really good! This book had the romance, characters that are easy to fall for, and real-life issues that I have come to expect from Melissa Foster’s writing. This book is part of the larger Love in Bloom series but works well on its own. I found this to be a very entertaining and enjoyable read.

Daisy is a new Doctor and her plans were to move to a big practice but that changed when her family needed her close. So she is working at the clinic in her hometown of Trusty, Colorado. Growing up in Trusty was hard for Daisy since she was the object of many hateful rumors. Luke runs a ranch where he breeds horses and has had a better experience in Trusty but there have been a few rumors about him as well. When the pair run into each other, they have an instant connection and I loved the chemistry between them from the start. It was great seeing them try to figure out how to fit into each other’s lives. I thought that their relationship felt very authentic and I was eager to watch them find their happily ever after.

B.J. Harrison does a wonderful job in bringing the books in this series to life. He uses a nice variety of voices for both the male and female characters which adds to the listening experience. I think that he is able to add just the right amount of emotion into his reading. I believe that his narration added to my enjoyment of this story.

I would recommend this book to others. I found this to be a nice romantic read with characters that were easy to care about. I cannot wait to read the next book set in Trusty, Colorado.

Trusty is the place to be!

I just love meeting the members of the Braden family and now getting to meet the branch that lives in Trusty is just a treat! This one features the first of the brothers, Luke. A man not ever looking to settle down has begun to grow his roots in his ranch. Enjoying his horses and his life, he is feeling the need to find someone to share it with. Daisy has returned to Trusty after her father's accident. After a terrible senior year in high school, she left, got her medical degree and was not looking back. But family is strong, and she has come temporarily to help out. When these two meet again, after the years that have passed, the pull is there and impossible to deny. With Daisy's days numbered though, is it even worth letting them into each others' lives? Is their love strong enough? I loved these two! Each has something to overcome and trust is a big issue! Plus, I love how Melissa Foster works in relevant issues giving us awareness of medical needs of the small town, domestic abuse and how important family is. It's a wonderful listen, with some steamy passion and a journey well worth taking!

BJ Harrison continues his narration of the Bradens, and for me he is the voice of this family. Each time, I fall into the listen and know I am in for a fantastic telling of the story. Each voice perfect for the character and all the emotion needed to make it realistic. Love his narrations.

Daisy Honey had a tough time time in high school because the girls spread lies about her and ruined her reputation. She was happy to leave Trusty CO behind and go to school to become a doctor. She returns home to help her father and runs into Luke, who Daisy had a crush on and was the only one that stuck up for her in school. This meeting starts up their friendship again and their journey into their beautiful romance. Daisy is also struggling with trying to figure out where she wants to take a permanent job as a doctor outside of Trusty when she realizes that the people who used to treat her badly in school were now being friendly to her and she was also falling in love with Luke. I also really enjoyed all the other characters in this book. This is another wonderful Braden romance you don't want to miss. The narration was very good.

Going home ...

Gawd, this book brought back so many high school memories. Daisy went through a lot in high school and couldn't wait to leave Trusty. Now she's back for a short time and fearing more of the nightmare from back then.

Having been bullied in high school, I feel for Daisy. I hate going home to visit and choose not to because of it. I have no desire to run into anyone from back then. So listening to this book made me realize high school is over and many of us have moved on and forgotten about back then. But it's not easy to let go. And that's what Daisy has to deal with in this book.

I love how supportive Luke is and the fact that Kevin is her best friend and was there for her through it all. Not having that because of being in a big city, I love that she has a support system. And, now, she has all of those girls who hassled her in high school, asking her if they can help. So it was so nice to see that.

Having listened to so many Melissa Foster books, I have come to expect BJ Harrison's fun and fabulous narration. If I ever get one of her books without him narrating, I'll probably not know what to do with it.
