Publisher's Summary

An undercover alien. A curvy human female he’s desperate to claim. One month to make her his.

Tabitha Mathews has never had much luck with men. Her past relationships only left her heart aching and her self-esteem beaten down. But who needs them? She’s doing just fine on her own. She has a booming home business, an adorable, mischievous dog, and she just became a first-time homeowner…right next door to the hottest man she’s ever seen.

Oh, did she mention that he happens to be an alien? An alien with dreamy, glowing eyes, wicked fangs and claws, and a tail. But she’s not supposed to know that, and only finds out after her wonderfully considerate dog leaves a big, odorous gift in her neighbor’s back yard—which promptly results in her being kidnapped. Now she’s tied to the alien’s bed, because of course he’s come to Earth in search of a mate—and he wants Tabitha to fill that role. More specifically, he wants her to carry his baby. Saying he’s moving fast seems like a bit of an understatement.

Is Tabitha willing to accept her alien abductor as a mate? Is she ready to be a mother? And he’s generous enough to give her four whole weeks to decide. It’s not like it’s the biggest decision of her life or anything…right?

Good overall with a few irritations

Good - the narrators dialogue voices were distinct and well paced, the characters were likable and fairly well developed and I liked the concept of the story. (Though I’d have enjoyed more world building 😋)

Bad - for the narrative portions the narrator spoke way to fast with odd pauses, there is frequent repetition of thoughts ( stating multiple times/ways that he is a badass warrior, he needs a mate etc)

Ugly - some odd attempts at humor (an awkward “Are you going to probe me” right after she got kidnapped, and the like)

Great Storyline

This book was different from others in the genre but still had a few similarities. Really liked main characters and the way controversy was handled, no abrasive female characters that I detest. Narrator with his oh so sexy male voice did a fantastic job with both male and female characters. Great book one. Look forward to listening the next book in series when it becomes available.

Where is the story?

Over 6 hours (admittedly at 2x speed) no story. Some basic six scenes no chemistry. Probably won’t finish. Will try to return.

It was ok

The character voices were good, but the story narration was very stilted/staccato so it would become annoying at times.

The authors wasted too much time on internal monologues to the point of it being repetitive.

There are of course leaps of logic or common sense, but honestly that's to be expected with this type of HEA story.

It wasn't bad, but it won't be memorable and I won't continue with the series.

play it at 90% speed

As some other reviewers said, the narrator spoke too fast. I listened at 90% speed and it solved the problem for me. Aside from speaking quickly, I really liked the narrator. i was skeptical because i have been listening to books with dual narrators lately but the narrator's voice for the male lead was perfect and his female voices are not bad at all!
I really enjoyed the story as well. I'm a fan of this genre so I want surprised that I enjoyed it. I especially liked that none of the characters acted like dummies to create a misunderstanding for drama. it's a common troupe in romance novels that I am glad this avoided. The characters felt believable and were generally likeable. I also appreciated that the book was a decent length. it really felt worth the credit!

Okay.

Overall an okay book, but the cadence of the narrator was felt similar to placing an M16 on automatic with a continuous barrage of ammo until it's empty. The narrator had a nice voice but needed to slow down some. 😎

Awesome Job!

Really enjoyed this first book. It was interesting and highly funny at times. The female lead didn't just give in at first lust either. Totally plausible storyline and good start and the series.

Excellent story and Zachary Zaba’s performance was amazing

This was a well written and beautiful story. The ML was charismatic and silly and the FL although a bit soft was sweet and charming in her own way. Definitely worth a listen.

Poor book

I’ve really enjoyed other Tiffany Roberts books, but this one is dreadful. I got half way through and then gave up.
