Publisher's Summary

To save Dakkar, she must lure him to his deadly prison. Instead, she finds herself wearing his chains…

As a fatal curse continues to spread over the planet of Dakkar, I make a deal with an alien witch who claims she can stop it. Her price? The heart of a horde king.

Only the horde king in question is the fiercest male I’ve ever seen, with glowing demon eyes, a god-like body crafted in battle, and a cold, cruel grin that promises destruction. Yet, when I offer myself to him, all under the premise of luring him back to the witch, his touch sets my blood on fire. His dizzying kiss makes the world spin. Instead of fear, I feel hot and unwanted desire, awakening instincts that tell me I’m his.

When he discovers my ultimate betrayal, the enraged horde king vows he will take me as his prize, that I will wear his chains, and that I will serve him in whatever way he wishes.

And, as the dangers on Dakkar loom, I find myself craving my wicked, wicked ruin...all at the hands of a horde king I should’ve never crossed.

Happy place

I love all five books and I am waiting for the next I love the story that takes you on a journey it makes your heart soar for the characters and makes you fight with them to survive everything that goes on and the love that comes from what they Indore.
The author Zoe Draven really lets her imagination fly thank you for that. Lia and Aaron are amazing narrator‘s they really bring the story to life that’s the second most important thing about my books after a well thought out story that grip heart and imagination is your narrator‘s. They make it become a wonderful adventure and that’s just what they did. All five books are most definitely worth a credit I’m always in my happy place when I know I will definitely listen to These stories again !!

More 😁

I really enjoyed all five books and there is a opening for another , I sure hope the story continues as we still don't know about this red mist? Narration is very good Aaron Sherlock and Lia Langola work very well together and Lia can do a nice male voice where it's at least believable, I wish they could do Duel narration that would make this series beyond *****. I'm very curious about the newest horde , the king's own son and hopefully a book will come out about him? I check weekly to see if any more books pop up, so far nothing 😢 We want more please... 😁

Fighting yourself and your past doesn’t hurt just you.

** spoiler alert ** I really liked this story. I had read some reviews that made me a little worried that I wouldn't like it, but I think it depends on the headspace you are in and what headspace you put the characters in. I thought the story was entertaining and enjoyable. Rowin (Wrune) did push Mina away, but he wasn't really fighting her, he was fighting himself. Mina was willing to give Rowin (Wrune) a chance, especially after the way that he acted during their wedding and wedding night (until he started acting like a doofus!) with the way he treated her and made her feel. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Most of the humans were just a waste of space in my opinion but you will need to make your decision. I loved Wrune explaining and apologizing to Mina. Wrune was so protective and possessive of Mina once he stopped fighting himself and "fate". Mina was also protective and possessive of Wrune but her feeling could be manifested physically which made Wrune nervous. There are a lot of feels in this story. I cried, raged, laughed, etc. I loved Mina and Wrune's happy ever after although I would have liked an epilogue further out as well. I recommend reading this book.

You can also listen to the audiobook as it was very enjoyable and entertaining as well. The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life and their voices were pleasant to listen to. I recommend listening to the audiobook.

Interesting but Lengthy

The storyline was interesting and different from other books in the genre; however, it was so long. The narrators did a great job with characters and were very thorough and descriptive for characters. Zoey has quite the imagination. It was like watching a long movie.

Waiting for more

This is the first review I have taken time to write. There are a number of series I enjoy but this is my favorite so far. I expect I will listen over and over as I do with my most favorites. I can't wait to see what happens. Who is the Horde King who will find a way to defeat the looming threat? What becomes of the other Kings and the humans they have taken as queens? I hope to find out soon.

YES!

I fell in love with their love!
Mina may have started out unsure of herself, maybe even broken. Yet she comes to relalize the strength and love insde of her.
Wrune was raised to be a warrior from a long age. To show no emotion, no love. With Mina, he finds out love doesn't make you weak but strong.
The narrators truly brought LIFE to the characters and the story.

Loved it

I loved this book and the entire series.
Often a series can get stale as the books proceed, but each and every one in this series is unique and captivating.
Amazing blend of adventure, romance, love and a bit of magic.
