One of My Repeats

I highly recommend this book. The characters are true characters. They remind me of the places and people of my growing up years. Listen for the laughter, and the the soul stretching and the tears.

Great story and great narration

I loved this book! Funny, witty, romantically, but just a good hometown story of a Central Texas community. Thank you Lisa Wingate and Joanna for your story and narration! Looking forward to book 2!

Talk of the town

I loved the ending. It wasn’t so rushed as some of her other book endings seem to be.

Kept my attention throughout

Lisa Wingate is a wonderful story telling. She understands human nature and today’s culture. This story spoke to me because if the small town I grew up in. Her depiction of the local characters were spot on!

A nice story

The high pitched screechy voices of some of the characters is hard to listen to, but after a few chapters in it was easier to hear.
Story line was good but predictable in places

I’ll tell you why it’s not a 5⭐️

Charming story but I couldn’t give the narrator or the overall a 5⭐️because the narrator did a really good job but it was rather offensive how she made Texans sound slow. It gave into false stereotypes that people with a drawl are “unintelligent.” The other reason is because the story need more Madakay and Carter!!!! There wasn’t enough romance in this romance novel Imogene was adorable but too much of her
