Two hearts bound together, suddenly torn apart.

When Egan disappears, Prince Raiden will stop at nothing to find him. With his closest friends and an unexpected acquaintance, he leaves the Sixth Realm behind to track down the man he loves. What he sees along the way will stay with him forever.

Egan finds himself face-to-face with the man who has haunted his dreams since he was a child; only now, he brings new nightmares. Egan's not the only one suffering at the monster's hand; there are others - others like him. He vows to do whatever he can to stop the monster and protect those around him.

Love this 🐉

This was a sweet opposites attract romance.

Definitely recommend listening to book 1 since this is a continuing series.

The characters were likeable and well fleshed out and the storyline was interesting and engaging.

The narrator's voice was perfect and I enjoyed the narration

Brilliant narration

I thought this book was brilliant. It didn't drag on nor was it filled with unnecessary drama. Secrets are revealed and the characters prove why they belong together. It's spectacular and my favorite in the series for sure.

Absolutely Amazing!

This third book in the Dragon King series is absolutely amazing. It is a little deeper, a little darker, and a little sadder, in parts, but it really lets the true characters of the MCs shine. Raiden is crushed when Egan disappears near the border with the enemy Fifth Realm, certain something terrible has happened to him. He is determined to go after him, find him, and bring him home. King Rodick gives him the trust, space, and resources to do so. On the journey, Raiden really exhibits his leadership, and shows how ready he is for his future as a king, and he also shows the generous and kind heart he has by helping others along the way, even when is slows the progress toward his own goal. For his part, Egan is suffering his own torment, but thoughts of Raiden keep him strong. He also makes a surprise discovery, while he stands against his greatest enemy. THAT ending was pure karma and bliss! In the end, our lovers come home and have a chance to rest, but the battle is not over, and the Fifth Realm will still need to be dealt with. I love these characters, both the MCs and all their friends and family. I like the overall positive vibe of the Sixth Realm and how everyone gets to be who they are with no judgment. I can't wait for the next book to see what they do about Queen Keres.

The narration was excellent, brought the characters to life, and really expressed the emotions well.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Raising the stakes

This may be my favorite of the series so far, as the story takes a somewhat darker and more mature turn as Raiden truly sees what suffering is going on outside his own kingdom and grows toward the great king he promises to be one day, even as he fights to rescue Egan. This was an emotional book for me. I love how much strength and peace Raiden and Egan take in each other and just how much their soul connection deepens. I hate the pain and trials they had to face, alone and together. I’m so glad this one didn’t have the same cliffhanger the last one did, but even so am looking forward to seeing the final book in the series soon. As with the previous books, Talia Carver did an excellent job narrating these increasingly beloved characters.

Wonderful series

Really loving this Debbie McQueen series! This is the third installment and you need to listen to them in order. I will say that this one is slightly darker in tone than the others but with everything going on in the series, you will understand. Excellent series and I can't say enough good things about it! Talia Carver does a great job with this series! Can't wait for book 4!

Love this series!

Talons of Love is Book 3 in the Dragon King series. This is an ongoing series and needs to be enjoyed in order. I've really enjoyed this series as Raiden, crown prince of the sixth realm, and Egan, a dragon shifter, come together so sweetly and fight for their home. I love the connection Raiden and Egan share. It becomes very important when Egan is captured in his dragon form and Raiden must go rescue him. Though Raiden is surprised what he finds when he and Egan are reunited. I love that Tarrock went with Raiden on the rescue. He was extremely essential. And though one battle was won the war isn't over. Though King Rodrick has made the sixth realm a very open and wonderful place to live, not everyone in the other realms lives that way. I definitely recommend this series and can't wait for the next book.
Narrator Talia Caver does another amazing job in bringing these characters to life. Such a joy to listen to.

Absolutely Love this Series

This is such an amazing series. This audio is a little darker and sadder in parts. Raiden is crushed when Egan disappears near the border of the enemy and is certain something terrible has happened to him. Raiden really exhibits his leadership and shows how ready he is to become the future King. Egan is suffering his own torment, but is keeping strong with thoughts of Raiden helping him. I like the vibe of the 6th Realm and how everyone can be who they are with no judgement. Looking forward to the next book. I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review.

loved it!

This is the third book in the series and it's not a standalone. The storyline frin the last book continues in this one. The last book enede with a cliffhanger and luckily we find out right away what happened. It's hard to review the third book in a series without spoilers but I can say that it's my favorite so far. It was intense and it captured me and I really liked the character development! I can't wait for the next one. Also, I really enjoyed the narration.

This series is so good! The immediate conflict is done but there is still far to go. I have enjoyed the first three books. The narrator does a good job too.

Amazing!

This book continues the story but it got a harsh twist. Some angst, a lot of action and danger, Egon and Raiden will need all the strength their bond gives them to come out unscarred of this adventure. Again their love and honor will help them to succeed. This book answered many questions about dragons and the realms but not all answers are nice so be prepared. A great YA series, and one of the most captivating tales I have ever read. Ms McQueen showed us again and again her outstanding world building skills with these books and Talia Carver is just the perfect voice for them all because of their amazing acting skills, agile narration and smooth and nice voice. Loved it so much! I can't wait for book 4!

So much going on!

After Egan is captured, Prince Raiden is out of his mind. They have a rescue mission which show how awful the Fifth realm is. Now Egan has to survive with other captives and come out alive. Prince Raiden’s journey is not easy. I enjoyed this third installment of the series, there’s more adventures to come I hope. Good narration!

It just keeps getting better.

We were left on a cliff hanger at the end of book 2 - and I’m so thankful that book 3 was already released!

Egan has been torn away from Raiden - faced in a nightmare he can only keep hope that Raiden comes for him. This part of the story broke my heart for him and made me rage at the things he had to go through. Raiden was so strong for him - fighting to get to him and being his strength when needed.

We learn more about how the Fifth Realm is making their new weaponry - let’s just say I’m not surprised at the things that the horrible ruler of the Fifth Realm would stoop to for power.

Again I just love Raiden and Egan together. So sweet and their bond is so strong.

The narration is just as good in the third book as the other two in the series. Definitely a narrator to listen out for.

Great series so far.

There's such a great connection. The story has emotion, drama, an immersive world. It's a good YA MM fantasy. I'm enjoying the characters and overall adventure. The author handles heavy subjects with care and dignity. I did speed narration on this one as well (1.3) and enjoyed it.

An Overwhelming Feeling Of Loss And Despair.

YA, MM, Action, Adventure, romance. The 3rd book in the series for full enjoyment and understanding the book needs to be listened/read in series order. As Raiden and Eagon's bond and love has continued to grow they must prepare and plan for the Fifth Realms future and the safety of all their people. Eagon decides to test their bond but things do not go to plan leaving Raiden distraught and heartbroken and having to plan a covert mission to find Eagon. Thoroughly enjoyed the story, beautifully narrated by Talia Carver.

The third instalment for Raiden and Egan.

Wow, what a rollercoaster ride this book is; whilst this is a YA series, we have capture, torture, violence and pregnancy.

Bring your tissues whilst you curl up and read this book. Egan enjoys a long flight around the Sixth realm after the war was over; however, he goes missing.

Young Prince Raiden disguises his appearance and goes with three others to find his beloved. But, along the route, he has to enter the fifth realm and witness the worst poverty and destruction he has ever come across.

Again, I became immersed in the story and lived through everything alongside the characters. The tears came a couple of times.

Such a well-written book and series. Talia Carver does a great job of narrating the book, although I sped up to 1.30 on audible as usual.

Prince Rayden and Lord Egan

This starts off with a trigger warning about violence. Egan has been captured by the man who killed his father, where he finds 5 other dragons and a pregnant woman being held captive. The bond between the 2 young men see them finally back together. can't wait to see what their next adventure will be.
