Publisher's Summary

She wants to forget him. He won't let her go.

Remi Tanner was only supposed to be a pawn in my game. But I screwed up. I broke her. And now I have to find a way to fix it. I want her. I need her.

In the end, I’ll prove she’s the only thing that matters.

Ace Jagger wasn’t supposed to imprint himself on my heart. But he did, before he tore it from my chest and hurt me in the worst possible way. He’s possessive. Dangerous. In the end, I’m not sure I can resist. He might be the bad boy with no conscience, and I might the girl with nothing left to lose, but one thing’s for sure...he won’t stop until gets what he wants: me.

It’s a lot!

There is a lot going on in Ace and Remi’s world. The drama is insane in books one and two. Eventually, it loses its effect, creating a disconnect. Still, it’s a decent story, and the narrators are pitch perfect.

Huh?

I agree there are lots of questionable things going on here. Let me get this one out the way first how is it that a supposed virgin is so good at certain bedroom activities right from the start? And why do they become so obsessed with sex after the first time? Anyway the mother was on a whole other level of head in the sand. And since when do you get off that easy with a known drug dealer and his goon’s? Ik I’m all over the place but so was this book.

I still have questions

What’s up with James?! What are the plans for their lives?! What about Remi’s dad? Did he find out about Michaela? Idk I’m just anal when it comes to an ending of a book. Moving on to Cole

Great love story with the right amount of HOT, HOT, HOT

Excellent story! I couldn’t stop listening! Chemistry between Ace and Remi is sooooo sexy!! The story was well paced, almost felt sorry for the characters as one situation after another kept happening. I laughed and laughed many times during the story. And I also had to cool myself down as a hotness of each oozed from the story. Overall a great story and well worth the credit!

This could have been an epilogue….

Where to even start?

1) This was way more sappy than I expected, I wouldn’t consider it a dark romance at all.

2) The middle and the end could have easily been summed up at the end of book 1. The beginning “mystery” we guessed in book 1.

3) there was a ton of filler that dragged. Every single thing that could have been suspenseful wasn’t. Even the revenge with Mackenzie ass lacklustre.

4) speaking of names….omg. It was like a 2018 baby name book vomited on this story. It was a battle of the E’s…Hadley, Bexley, Remy, Mackenzie.. like, my goddess… the headache of names was overwhelming. I would have rather her called them “the friend”, “the jock”, ”the princess”, and “the cheerleader”. Way more tolerable than those names.

5) Speaking of “the jock”…why did the author have to do him like that? Completely unbelievable how obsessed he was with Remy. Why?

6) the amount of head injuries this girl got was ridiculous.

Overall, I think you could skip this one because you can literally guess the outcome of everything by reading book 1. I was super interested in reading Cole’s story from jump, but now I think I’m going to pass. I definitely can’t read an entire book with the name Hadley being said every 5th word. But also, I wouldn’t doubt if it kinda had the same vibe as book 1.

Love

Ace and Remy have a lot on their life and hardly need to trust each other, but sometimes it’s difficult when a lot of people are doing hard to avoid their closeness.

Good story, did not like the narrators at all.

Neither narrator did a good job imo. I'm partial to Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan and Jason Clarke who put a lot in their narration. These two just didn't seem to do the same. The characters were flat, while the story was good.

A little to much internal dialog

Liked it for the most part the story kept my intrest and you never really forgot you were listing to a story about high school kid. Ace, Conner and Cole love there characters but Remy not so much didn't care for all of Remy's internal dialog having to explain hers and Ace's feelings and actions so much I ended up doing a little bit of skipping couldn't take anymore, also Remy seemed like a huge push over if she had more back bone were Ace was concerned I might have done 5 🌟 s.

Typical teenage romance

Bit unrealistic. And some of the characters lack nuisance. Very 1 dimensional. What kind of name is ACE?. Kind of reads like a WhatsApp romance.

Book 2 🔥❤️

Book 2 clears up all the unanswered questions you have. Great story with some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The story has depth and the main characters are likeable. The narrators did a fabulous job.
