A curious introduction to extreme self-doubt
I started listening to this audiobook because of friend who has a very loud inner critic and I wanted to help him out. I learnt this is more common than I knew and some techniques to work with. The author is funny, although it took me a couple of minutes to get used to her style, and her voice is full of happiness and understanding. The first 3 chapters are the strongest, but the whole series has been enlightening.

I laughed, teared up, loved it
I loved the interactive, conversational nature of the episodes. Some pretty intense emotional stuff but made enjoyable with the fun music. I hope there's another series in the making 😁

Heartily Recommended
I loved this. I found the radio DJ humour undermined the rest of the content which is a shame because Clare is genuinely funny otherwise. I still heartily recommend this series 😁

Absolutely loved it!
This was a very entertaining, informative and useful series. The format is fun and easy to follow. The chatty style and Clare's comforting voice explaining the techniques from a very personal point of view, coupled with the brilliant 'brain science' explanations, make it a very worthwhile listen.

Once you're 'in', this is VERY good indeed
As others have noted, Claire's presentational stylings are, let's say, unorthodox - which will not be everyone's cup of tea. But I drank deep from the teapot, friends, and I can confirm, this gives the listener plenty to dunk their biscuit of inner self critique into.
Much stuff designed to help us help ourselves is, by necessity, effectively restating the obvious and offering techniques and exercises to use to act as reminders or ways of retraining our thinking. All present and correct on that score: for example, "to avoid procrastination, don't procrastinate". However, Claire keeps it perfectly balanced in terms of explanation/ instruction, humour and compassion. And the episodes aren't overly long.
Recommended, with pleasure. Glad I stumbled upon this: I'll certainly be giving it a re-listen soon.

Utter torture!
I downloaded this as I’d read an interview with one of the authors , yeeh gods. The reality of hearing the , what sounds like a comedy show mixed with hilarity / self help awareness, is so confusing , incongruous and ridiculous.
Completely negates any wisdom that might be in the book. Impossible to take it seriously or listen to.

Interesting, funny and informative
I highly recommend a listen! This was well-structured, easy to follow and practical. Clare's personal stories were relatable and the scientific explanations interesting. The fact that it was also funny meant that it was enjoyable to listen to. Very helpful!

not what I expected
at 1st I thought this is a bit silly, however it was a light hearted , relaxed approach. I really found it enlightening, although my inner critic has gone missing so no name yet .

Learning from somebody I know and trust - and who's lived through constant doubt and struggle with her inner critic (F off Frank!)... this is so real and incredibly useful. Thank you CB x

Funny, practical, big-hearted
This is fun and super helpful. Even for the seasoned CBT devotee, the gentle and story- filled reminder that we all have an inner critic, is timely for us all in 2020. And if this is a new idea, then what a perfect way to start - no judgement, no pressure. Clare is all hope and encouragement. Love it!!!!
