Even if you’re stressed, unhappy, or highly anxious in everyday life and have tried fixing it before with books, videos, or even a therapist, don’t worry. You’re not alone and this guide can help you like it helped many others. While most other philosophy books will only cover basics and not go into the underlying human mechanics that actually make you tick and feel what you feel right now, this book actually helps you to get under your own skin and systematically create the habits and tools to create lasting change from the inside-out.

This guide is divided into two parts. In the first part, we will talk about chakra healing and in the second part about the Buddhism for beginners. Many cultures believe that human beings exist in two parallel dimensions at once. The first dimension is the physical world, and we exist as a physical body made out of flesh and blood. The second dimension is a spiritual one, in which we exist as a form of energy, also known as the subtle body.

Publisher's Summary
Discover a modern introduction to Paganism and Earth-centered religions and learn how to become one with the nature.
Dear listener,
Taoism is a major world religion that started long ago in China. And many believe that it began in the 6th century B.C. with the philosopher Lao Tzu.
Lao Tzu never intended to create any new religion. However, the people of China loved his teachings and his way of understanding through his wisdom. And soon, all of his written ideas became combined with the ancient customs of Chinese folk religions.
This is why Taoism began to include beliefs in such deities as gods, goddesses, magicians, and even dragons. The common people also added spells and charms, as well as the worship of their ancestors.
Understanding the way of the Tao (also pronounced "Dao") is really a matter of journeying through the core of oneself as an inner perception of beingness.
This may seem tricky at first, but with proper guidance, that journey of self-revelation will be the most effortless achievement in your life. That is precisely what this audiobook is offering you.
As you become more and more familiar with the principles and the practices steeped in historical and ancient culture, you'll undoubtedly enjoy the spiritual experience which allows this infamous flow.

Good introduction
I came into this book with basically zero knowledge of Daoism. It's well written and does a good job of explaining the many practices, beliefs, and sects that comprise this diverse religion. It's academic but still treats the magical and supernatural stuff with an appropriate respect and seriousness. The "further reading" recommendations at the end of every chapter are very helpful if you're interested in learning more. The narrator has a pleasant and soothing voice, which pairs well with the content.

Great introduction
This is a great introduction to Taoism. Rivers introduces Taoist history, concepts, lineages, and practices to the reader in a way that I haven't seen in other books. The book shares the organization, history, and structure of this seemingly elusive spiritual path. The many deities associated with the path of the Tao were new to me. Focusing a bit more on wisdom and practice would be helpful.
