Story
Sometimes love is where you least expect it, and sometimes it's right where you left it in this witty, slow burn-to-steamy friends-to-lovers MM romance. Widower, Max Hartwell, is barely keeping it together, being a single dad, managing his law firm, and navigating life's chaos. Life after loss is too difficult for surprises, which is why Max would be lost without his reliable best friend and neighbor, Jack.

Milo. Unusual. Quirky. Different. I’ve heard it all. I’ve accepted I’m not for everyone. When I find out I inherited a bookstore and apartment on a small East Coast island, I jump at the chance for a new life. Turns out I’ve also inherited a sexy, tattooed guy who not only rents the space next to my store but my apartment too. Gideon. I wasn’t looking for a roommate, but it’s not like I can stay at Milo’s place while he’s banished to a hotel. According to Milo, we’re bestie goals. And if he doesn’t wear pants at home, who am I to complain?

When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

As social chair of Sigma Beta Psi, I’m the life of the party. It’s what I’m known for, and if it’s not fun, I’m not interested, simple as that. I’m not someone who overthinks. So, when one of my brothers hooks up with a dude from another frat house, it catches me off guard when I can’t stop thinking about them…together. There’s only one way for me to get this obsession out of my head, and that’s by jumping in with both feet and putting it into practice.

Story
Delaney Roberts and Marcus Worthy-Davis have quite a few things in common. Both blue-collar workers in their 40s, they’ve experienced the tragic loss of their wives and meet through their monthly grief group. Their connection is immediate, their friendship solidifying over texts and barstool confessions, neither feeling quite so lonely in the other’s presence. When Marcus reveals to the group that he’s considering dating, it shakes Delaney to his core. He’s nowhere near ready, not when he feels on unstable ground with his teenage son and has vowed not to uproot his life again.

I never intended to become a stripper. Two years ago, I was in Nashville chasing the songwriter dream. Sleepless nights between day jobs were spent writing rock ballads and trying to make a name for myself. That all changed with one phone call that forced me to return to Atlanta. Needing consistent income to pay the mountain of debt I'd come home to, I traded stripping my soul for stripping my clothes. Then Archer West comes crashing into my VIP room, tempting me to break all of my rules.

I've been in love with my best friend since forever. Okay, fine. Like, kindergarten. It started out platonic, obviously, but then became.... Nope. Still platonic. The problem is that Parker Ellis has been straight since forever. And that makes it difficult to convince him that the two of us are meant to be together. And now, there's no point. All is lost. He's gone and gotten engaged to his high-school sweetheart - which means I have to grin and bear it, while pretending to be the happy, supportive best man, while he prepares to commit his life to a woman.

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

I’m a SEAL. Or rather, I was. Retired at the grand old age of 38, I’m at loose ends. My best friend wants me to join his security team. I’m not sure I’m bodyguard material, but he needs someone to protect his kid brother. How hard can spoiled brat duty be? Somehow, I missed the part where former child star Danny Love went from dorky TV darling to all grown up and disturbingly attractive. All the gossip about his wild ways fails to mention that he’s trying hard to clean up his act.

Publisher's Summary
Ethan Greene: shy geek, newly bi-curious, and...propositioning his gay roommate?
I have a passion for a lot of things: wildlife biology, Godzilla, bowties.... But when it comes to people, I'm more timid. Which is why I'm stuck with a toxic ex-girlfriend who's holding my lizard hostage.
I need to face her - and save my dignity. But a little backup won't hurt, right?
My roommate is the perfect wingman. Rhett is assertive and charismatic. The kind of guy people respect. And when he meets my ex, he's also the kind of guy to get protective.
I take comfort in his strength, even as I envy it. But when he kisses me, things get awkward.
Frustrated by the tension between us, I turn to a hookup app for answers. I don't mean to proposition my roommate. Really. It's just a weird fluke - a mortifying one.
But Rhett has a proposition of his own. He wants to help me explore my curiosity. But he's a bartender who practically flirts for a living, and I'm in way over my head.
It could all end in heartbreak. Unless I find the courage I've been seeking my whole life. Can I be bold enough to ask Rhett Hayes to be mine?
Tapped by My Roommate is book three of the Thrust into Love series featuring a flirty bartender, a timid but passionate geek, and a mistaken app hookup that encourages these two roommates to explore friendship and love. It can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Rhett and Ethan are an awesome couple, both quirky and lovable characters. I love nerd jock romances and this is a great one! The evolution from roommates to friends to lovers is well done with a great combo of humor and heat. The epilogue is one of my favorites! Great narration, super engaging. Loved it.

A great story with fantastic narration!
Ethan and Rhett are great characters. It was fun to watch them progress from roommates to a couple. The author does a good job balancing growth with humor, romance, and levity. The storyline captured my attention and kept it the entire way through. I read the book when it was first released, so I was thrilled to hear it in audiobook. It just adds an entirely different dimension to the book.
While this is book three in a series, you can read it as a stand-alone. I started the series with this book and didn't spend one minute confused or feeling like I was missing something. The author did a fantastic job ensuring that you could do just that.
Nick J. Russo is one of my favorite narrators. He's got an incredible range and depth to his performance. He can put emotion into his narration without ever being over the top. His voice is pleasing to the ear and easy to understand. He's consistent, and he's just all-around fun and easy to listen to.

Loved It!
Revisited this on audio and loved it just as much as I remembered! Nick did a fabulous job, enjoyed it so much!
I just adored Rhett and Ethan so much! This was just so sweet and so sexy and so much fun to read! I love a good sexual exploration and discover story, throw in 2 roommates falling in love along the way and it was fantastic! Ethan was the perfect reserved, nerdy guy that started to wonder if he was attracted to Rhett after an accidental kiss one night. Rhett was just a great man with a heart of gold who needed to learn to ask for help sometimes and every once in a while put himself first. What started out with a list of sexual exploration for Ethan, turned into a very sexy, very romantic, and just down right adorable love story. So good!

Another good one for the series.
This series is so good and fun to read(listen to) and Tapped by My Roommate is no exception. Rhett and Ethan’s story was sweet and sexy roommates-to-lovers, bi-awakening. I love to see an adorable geek find love. It takes them a bit to get there, a lot of assuming the other’s feelings and not communicating! Darn college kids. The ending is so worth it, as they both overcome issues that have been hard for them and they find their happily ever after.
Nick J. Russo knocked it out of the park again. He brought these characters to life and just did a super amazing job.

Lovely listen!
I’m really enjoying this series and have been looking forward to listening to Rhett’s story. Rhett and Ethan are roommates, but when they both sign up to a dating app and get matched with each other things take a different turn. Rhett starts to see Ethan in a new light, and Ethan admits to being bi curious. To keep him safe from people on the app who might take advantage of him, Rhett offers to help Ethan figure out if he is bi or not. The two men are sweet and loving, and their exploration of Ethan’s curiosity leads to so much.
Well written, and beautifully narrated. Nick J Russo is such a fantastic narrator and always delivers stellar performances.

So sweet!
Oh, my sweet, geeky, confrontation-shy, lizard-loving Ethan… and my equally sweet, protective, hero-complexed, sexy Rhett!
The third instalment in the Thrust Into Love series is all about exploration, self-discovery and improvement. Both Ethan and Rhett find out new things about themselves and go through some major “internal growth spurt” in the span of the story.
DJ Jamison regales us with a well-written, catching, steamy story, which is low on the angst and high on the cuteness factor!

OMG, how cute were Ethan and Rhett? Totally adorbs! And they just fit together so well. Ethan was shy and nerdy and Rhett was protective and sweet. They had amazing chemistry and I just loved how hot and sweet they were.
I adored Ethan's neighbor and Rhett's coworker. And I hated Ethan's ex and his study partner with a passion. I just hated how they took advantage of how nice Ethan was.
Nick J. Russo was the perfect choice to narrate this series. His voice sounds youthful enough to pass for college-aged guys, and he's just so talented at bringing the right kind of emotion to every single scene. Super recommendable!

Adorably sweet roommates/friends to lovers
Sometimes it takes a drunken kiss to open your eyes to the possibility of more.
Rhett is very outgoing and Ethan is so painfully shy.
They're complete opposites so it would seem they wouldn't work together but that's exactly what makes them perfect for each other because they balance each other out.
Rhett was so patient with Ethan, giving him the the time and space to explore safely.
The chemistry between these two was sizzling and jumped off the pages.
I loved seeing Ethan come into his own and gain confidence in himself.

*4.5*
DJ Jamison writes a really great college romance and I was drawn in from the start. Ethan and Rhett are quite different young men but work well together as roommates and then as partners. Both are surprised by their level of attraction and chemistry to each other. They are equally sweet and hot together, Ethan getting to share these new experiences with a man and enjoying everything for the first time and Rhett being drawn so much to one man, especially his bow ties, comes as a surprise to him. Their relationship becomes a little bit of a roller-coaster with so many enjoyable highs but missed/lack of communication seems to be their downfall, as with many others.
Ethan is going through tense times with his ex-girlfriend and Rhett becomes quite the unexpected protector which is adorable read. Rhett has his own things going on though, he becomes his own worst enemy when his pride comes into play. I'm happy to have Rhett's story after meeting him in previous books of this series and both he and Ethan are brilliant MC's in a heartwarming and character led romance.
Nick, again, does a fantastic job in narrating this story. He brings such personality and warmth to the characters and their romance. He grabbed my attention from the first moment and I enjoyed it throughout. Definitely a recommended listen.

Rhett & Ethan
Loved!! I really enjoyed Rhett and Ethan’s story! I was so excited when I saw this was coming to audio, and that Nick Russo would be doing the narration! Nick did a fantastic job with Rhett and Ethan’s story! He really drew me into a story that I already lived, and made it fresh and new! I’m a huge fan of sexual awakening and their story really grabbed me from the start! I loved Ethan’s journey of exploring his sexuality after an unexpected kiss with his roommate. While Rhett helped Ethan discover a different side of himself, Ethan helped Rhett learn it was okay to learn on other and ask for help. These two complimented each other so well, and were so in tune with each other’s needs! It was sweet, sexy and I found myself smiling often!

Zilla Love
Tapped by My Roommate is the third book in the Thrust into Love series, a contemporary romance series about college guys who find love through a dating app. This book is easily read as a standalone and does not feature any big cameos or plot devices from previous books. However, I loved the first two books and think this series is best read in order just for the delight of it all.
Ethan and Rhett are adorable – both on their own and as a couple. I loved how supportive of each other they are. Without the support they provided to each other, I don’t think either character would have been able to achieve the personal growth they worked so hard for. There were a lot of sweet and fluffy moments as well as some truly hilarious shenanigans (lizard tail whips!!!!). I also gained a much deeper appreciation for Godzilla and all his attributes (…but not as deep of a appreciation as Rhett in the epilogue).
The audiobook was narrated by Nick J. Russo who does a fantastic job. I loved how he voiced each character and brought an energy and vitality to the narration that really made it sound great. The audiobook production was also well done and it was overall a really fun listening experience.

Adorable, steamy, and nerdy
I've read other roommate romances, but there was something special about Ethan and Rhett's story. I wasn't completely sure what to think of the two of them when I first met them, but all it took was one nasty confrontation with Tess and I was firmly on Team-Ethan-and-anybody-else. I wasn't expecting a drunken kiss to kickstart a deliciously steamy checklist of sexual explorations, but wow did I have fun seeing how many ways Rhett and Ethan could get each other off. I loved the way Rhett was so patient with Ethan, never pushing him for more and always showing his interest in everything they did together. The two of them had insane chemistry that went way beyond physical touches and kisses. They may have pretended their interest in each other was strictly for hookups, but their actions told an entirely different story.
As much as I loved the steamy bits (and I really, really did), I thought Ethan and Rhett's individual storylines were really compelling as well. Ethan not only explored his sexuality in this story but also tackled his fear of confrontation. I was so distraught after seeing the way Tess and others treated him--especially because I have my own qualms about confrontation and I understand the struggle to speak up for yourself. That's why it was so satisfying to see Ethan gain confidence and learn how to be brave when it mattered most. In turn, Rhett had his own savior complex to overcome on top of a difficult decision about what major he wanted to pursue. What I really enjoyed about this story was how deep it delved into Ethan and Rhett's history. I didn't just experience Ethan and Rhett's struggles in the present day--I got glimpses into how their pasts shaped them to put everything into context. On top of that, seeing how Ethan interacted with his co-volunteers and Rhett spent time with his family made their characters feel satisfyingly well-rounded. Of course, I can't leave out Linh, who was always around to give either guy a kick in the backside when they needed to get out of their heads.
Though Rhett and Ethan spent way too much time dodging important discussions about their relationship, I couldn't help but fall head over heels for them. That didn't stop me from being devastated each time a communication issue threatened to derail their romance before it could get off the ground, but in the end they managed to get on the same page. I'm so happy with the way that sappy love confession turned out, and don't even get me started on that adorkable marriage proposal at the end!
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

A huge favorite of mine!
I loved this series and this roommates-friends-to-lovers love story is my favorite so far. I enjoyed a lot Ethan and Rhett's story and how they try to figure everything out between them, while fighting awful exes, saving cute lizards and making funny rules and sexy exploration lists. After loving so much the ebook, the audiobook was a must specially read by Mr Russo who is also one of my favorite voice actors ever. He totally got the essence of the characters and the funny banter and sweet, heartwarming moments between them, making a beautiful narration that won my heart again. So, so good!

Entertaining
It’s a nice story but has two things I don’t usually enjoy and wasn’t in the mood for either. Toxic characters and unfair situations are hard for me, people taking advantage of Ethan and him letting them made me uncomfortable. I can stand it. Although, he learns to stand his ground and everything gets better.
There is plenty of misunderstandings for not talking or asking and a lot of doubts. They are kinda dumb but sweet. They fit together.
The neighbour is one to keep an eye on.
How Zilla’s problem is solved is an awesome idea and quite fun. Looking forward to the next one.
«Maybe I should fell ashamed of corrupting my innocent roommate (…) Nah. I feel pretty good about it, to be honest. Kinda proud».
