Cute series
Pretty much typical of the genre - suspect a cast of characters in turn, heroine falling in like/love with handsome ( in this case) former boyfriend/current detective, and a cute critter (cat) who is much smarter than average, and yet, these stories by H Y Hanna work very well and Pearl Hewitt does an excellent job of narration.
I find cosy mysteries a lot of fun if they're well done, and these are. I'm happy to while away a few hours in the company of Gemma and her mom, Cassie, the old biddies, the doctor, the detective and especially Muesli!

I love this series!!!
Would you consider the audio edition of Tea with Milk and Murder to be better than the print version?
I enjoyed the audio edition more than the print edition because of the narration. Pearl Hewitt does a marvelous job bringing all of these characters to life. Yes, it's the same story, but the narration adds another dimension to the story. I can't picture anyone else doing the narration! I can't wait to listen to future books in audio version
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
There are lots of red herrings and twists that keep you guessing and keep you interested.
Which character – as performed by Pearl Hewitt – was your favorite?
It's really hard to pick just one.... I love Gemma's character and Pearl Hewitt does a great job of portraying her. But, she does a wonderful job with all the characters...the old biddies, Devlin, and even Muesli's little (and not so little) meows
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Biddies Are Back hahaha
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys a cozy mystery. It is a fantastic series with believable characters that will keep you laughing, keep you wondering whodunnit, and wonder what Muesli will get into next. So what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed!

I was super excited to get the 2nd book in The Oxford Tearoom Mysteries Series! It is living up to my expectations. Once again we find ourselves in the middle of a murder and all the usual characters are back, with some new ones thrown in the mix. I just love love the old Biddies who keep us giggling! And my favorite part of any series is getting to know the main characters and their surrounding friends and family. It makes you feel like you're immersed in their world. This book does not let you down! For a bit we can feel like we are in a quaint little English town. Can't wait for book 3!!!

I Love This Series
I really look forward to these stories. They are just wonderful with delightful characters and a fun mystery. Gemma is more established in her tea room, and her mother is "helping". The Old Biddies are back and just as wild and enjoyable. This is a really lovely series. The setting is great and the mystery is done very well. I may also be a bit impartial but I just love Muesli!! I also love listening to Pearl Hewitt. I think she is just perfect for this series as the narrator. I love listening to her!

Great Book!
Any additional comments?
This is a great book; this is the second book in the Oxford Tearoom Mystery series written by H.Y. Hanna and narrated by Pearl Hewitt. While at an Oxford cocktail party, tearoom owner Gemma Rose overhears a sinister conversation minutes before a University student is fatally poisoned. Gemma decides to start her own investigation, helped by the nosy ladies from her Oxfordshire village and her old college flame, CID detective Devlin O'Connor. But her mother is causing havoc at Gemma's quaint English tearoom and her best friend is furious at her snooping...and this mystery is turning out to have more twists than a chocolate pretzel! This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises.
The narrator Pearl Hewitt did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.
If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Enjoyable, wishing for more
This was a lovely book to listen to. The murder was believable yet no gory scenes which is appreciated by this listener. The main characters are easy to warm up to, and I find myself wishing for Cassie to someday see Seth as more than a friend. The biddies add humor, Gemma's mother is becoming more human and less of a robot, and I see the series really developing well.I do hope that the rest of the series will be available for audible listeners soon.

Thoroughly enjoyable mystery with the perfect narrator!!
The Oxford Tearoom Mystery series is one of my absolute favorites. Each book has been even better than the last, and Tea With Milk and Murder is no exception. The audiobook version adds to the enjoyment of the book because the narrator is so adept at conveying the emotions of each individual character, even down to the little mischievous cat, Muesli. The witty parts in the book are enhanced by her talented storytelling. She really does a stellar job.
As for the book itself, I loved the perfectly plausible mystery, the cat's antics, the protagonist's love interests, and her mother's penchant for proper decorum at all times. When you couple that with the Oxford University setting, the old biddies' interferences and the charm of a British Tearoom, you can't go wrong. This is a cozy mystery series that always makes me chuckle, and puts a big smile on my face. Definitely recommended.

Brilliant
Any additional comments?
A brilliant follow up to 'A Scone to Die For.'
Gemma, once again, lands herself in hot water when she investigates a murder that takes place during her friend's art exhibition. There are plenty of suspects to choose from and her friend's new boyfriend is number one on her list. There are plenty of twists in the story and I was as surprised as Gemma was with the identity of the murderer.
In addition to the mystery, the funny side stories involving Gemma's mother working in the tearoom make for delightful and entertaining reading. Luckily, Gemma has the 'Old Biddies' on hand when things start to fall apart. They keep their noses firmly in other people's affairs and pour tea at the same time.
I love the way Muesli, the cat, is written into the story and comes to the rescue at just the right moment.
There are some developments in Gemma's love life as well but I'm hoping this aspect isn't rushed too quickly to a happy ending for her and Devlin as I am enjoying their little arguments as well as her mother's matchmaking attempts.
Oxford is described in such warmth and detail that it makes me want to hop over for a weekend, take a walk around and drop in for tea.
The narration is excellent and easy to listen to.

Settle down with a cup of tea and enjoy
I enjoyed this book.
There were lots of suspects and even though I had guessed the killer about mid way through the book is was still fun listening to Gemma trying to work out who the culprit was and keep her friendship, love life and sanity in one piece.
I love the extra characters namely her mum (who loves Gemma and instead of telling her that shows it buying things....normally with things nobody wants) and the old ladies (who know everybody and try to help Gemma by solving the crime first and getting in trouble) as they had a humours side to the stories.
The narrator was very good and uses several pitches to portray the characters.

Enjoyable, funny, intriguing
Who was your favorite character and why?
That just has to be Muesli, and this time she was the hero of the hour.
What does Pearl Hewitt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I enjoy the different voices that Pearl uses for the various characters, especially Gemma's mother. She brings the audiobook to life.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Gemma's mother and her online shopping is hilarious, as is the antics of the 'old biddies' , made me laugh several times.
Any additional comments?
Another excellent book, which leaves you unsure of who the murderer is until near the end of the book. I have read most of the series of these books, but listening to them really brings them to life.

Good follow on book from A Scone to Die for
I've recently finished listening to HY Hannah first audio book of A scone to die for & was keen to continue with this one and where she would take the characters.
I enjoyed hearing the new mystery about the death of a woman in an art gallery which happened in front of a crowd of people which therefore made it a more complex case to solve. H Y Hanna returns with the previous characters and unravels more of their lives whilst intertwine the solving of the mystery.
All evidence points to one person, however when someone else almost dies they have to go back to square one and reinvestigate.
Another good murder mystery tale which is thoroughly enjoyable to read and to listen to.
