Best book on teaching, hands down.

Read it and live by it and you will become a champion teacher. No other book is as extensive as this one when it comes to teaching.

Every teacher should read this!

Teachers are constantly taught conflicting and many times ridiculous strategies. These strategies make sense, and these strategies are working for my classroom students.

Techniques every educator should reflect on!

This is one of those books that causes you to self reflect and consider how you operate on a daily basis. There are concrete tools and techniques that you can take and try immediately but also the philosophy that guides your pedagogy is molded. Worst case scenario reading this, you adapt and grow and become a better educator. This is a story of successes and failures but as educators we all must fail forward. This is a guide to doing that successfully. Great read!

Frustration with not having book alongside

Great information but difficult to visualize the examples or exemplars. I have downloaded something from the website that should assist with this issue.

Not accessible when you need it.

At first, I was happy to be able to have this as an audiobook. However, the big problem is that when you need to find a specific strategy to use in the classroom, there are no ways of finding out how to get there in this audiobook. The chapters are mislabeled, and the accompanying PDSF does not have a table of contents to find out where to find these wonderful strategies. Perhaps there is a source that someone may know of online? I regret downloading this book and wish I could return it.

Chapters Misformatted

The chapters don’t match what they’re labeled as in the Table of Contents so as you read you’re reading the chapters out of order.

Great book for Group Dynamics

This book was written for teachers, but has many tips that can be used for anyone who is working with groups. How to treat people, is the basic premise. Thank you!

Does not work in audio- too much visual reference in this book

Do not bother with this as an audio book. It doesn’t work. There is far too much visual stimulus to refer to which you cannot access. Waste of time. Get the printed book.

Distracted by dull narrator

Would you try another book written by Doug Lemov and Norman Atkins or narrated by Neil Hellegers?

Yes (Author). No (Narrator)

What could Doug Lemov and Norman Atkins have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Please use a narrator who is not so monotonous. The intro takes nearly an hour which I could barely stay awake. I think the topic is fascinating so I will try the Kindle/book version.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator is so monotone.... Some form of intonation please

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I gave up with the narrator

Awful as an audible book!

Refers to lots of videos, images, techniques but none of which can be accessed in this version. Don't bother! The narrator is also incredibly monotonous but the book does appear to have some great ideas!
