Publisher's Summary

By age seven, your kids’ money habits will already be formed. Want to play your part in helping to form these habits? Read on to see how.

Many parents dread talking to their kids about money in fear of opening pandora’s box. But firstly, that box is probably already open; you will be surprised at what kids soak up from their friends, what they see on TV and on social media, and what they hear you talking about at home. And secondly, if it isn’t already, it likely will be soon, and this will be out of your control.

It may be better if we actually open this box from time to time anyway. Not talking to your kids about money can actually make them think that money is something to fear, that it is something dangerous and harmful. And we don’t want our kids starting out with an unhealthy relationship with money, because they will take this into adulthood with them.

But there will be many parents, like yourself, who do want to open up to their kids about money, to perhaps make sure that they don’t form the same bad habits that they formed as a kid or to equip them with all the money skills they need to help them through life, from how to save to how to give money away to those less fortunate than themselves.

If this sounds like you, keep reading; this book will definitely give you all the help you need to make this happen.

In Teach Your Kids About Money, you’ll learn:

  • The main rules that govern how you teach your kids about money
  • Some of the psychology around how we form our money habits
  • What to teach your kids about money at the different ages

And much more!

And as a free bonus, there are some fun exercises for you at the end of each chapter to help you put what you have taught your kids into practice!

You may be dreading the conversations with your kids. Or worry that you won’t be able to help them very much. But try not to worry; even the smallest thing you can teach your kids about good money habits will go a long, long way. And you don’t need to be talking about money all the time. Take it slowly, at your own pace, or the pace you think is good for your kids.

Even if all you do is teach them one good money habit, that’s a great start and better than where you were yesterday.

So if you want to start on the journey of helping your kids form good money habits, then scroll up buy now!

A real guide for years to come!

I, too, from a young age was fortunate to learn very early on the importance of money and how to learn how to manage it, creating budgets, for example. Soon my child will be 6 years old and I would like to teach him how to manage money, so I recently purchased this audiobook.

I was very pleased with it as it provides practical and effective advice on how to deal with money at that age. Also being broken down into different ages makes it a great guide to come back to in years to come! You did a great job Nina Page, thank you!

Fantastic Book!!!

Mind blowing! I didn't want it to end! Such a great book! It's just what I needed to hear! I honestly want to hear more tips for me to teach my kids about money. I was trying with my 6 year old teach him how to safe and not buy him a toy every time we go into the store but this book gave me all the tips I needed to teach my kids about how money work. I feel more confident talking to them about money so that they can understand me more. I eager to play some games it suggested! I'm just so excited for this journey as parenting my kids about finances! THANK YOU! Great Book!!!

If you want a successful Kid!!!!

How important it is to establish a healthy understanding of money in children at a young age. thats the key to successful children in my opinion!! How many kids grow up without a healthy level of responsibility in matters of money?? I can say that as life turns and changes our children will have a better chance at coming on top of these roller coaster when they have control of their money and their ability to earn it. we may not be able to control every aspect their adulthood, but with a strong financial understanding they will be great at life no matter path they take. I absolutely love this book and recommend it to all parents. Lets make these babies successful!!!!

Show them how to fish and they will...

Thanks, Nina, excellent audiobook. Give your children a fish they will eat that day, and show them how to fish they will eat forever. The importance of showing young kids and teens how to manage their own money is an excellent approach.

I recommend this book to all parents that know the importance of giving their children all the proper tools to live a life with infinite possibilities!

A Fabulous Guide

I have always been horrified to see the mess some of my young work colleagues have found themselves in thanks to a complete lack of understanding of the value of money. Indulging in reckless spending and borrowing without a thought to how their debts are to be paid - a situation that could have been avoided if they’d received some proper guidance as children!!!
I was determined that my kids should never find themselves in the same boat.
This book has been extremely useful in helping me start to set my kids on the right track to properly managing their finances and teach them how important it is not to live beyond their means.
Nina Page’s advice is spot on and her step by step approach has made the topic very easy to embrace. Samantha Novak does a fabulous job narrating the book using a clear, informative and engaging tone that is not at all patronising.
I truly believe this book should be in every parents library and I give it my heartiest recommendation.

A great resource for any parent

The author has put together great advice for parents whether your kids are 4 years old, 9 years old or teens. There are even tips for talking to your adult children about money and finances.
You have to use the right kind of words to explain the importance of money management.

This is a great book and I'd recommend it to all parents especially if you are struggling to explain this side of life to the kids.

I loved this, amazing helpful information. I didn't grow up with parents who taught me about money and learning myself was a challenge. I want to teach my children about finances but not over whelm or confuse them and this was exactly what I was hoping for. The rules, the psychology and the different ages of your childs life. I also enjoyed the exercises at the end! Overall highly recommend. Thank you!

Complete and fantastic

Money doesn't make you happy, or so the old adage goes. However nor does it mention that it's quite hard to be happy when you're constantly chasing your tail. Money doesn't bring happiness. but it does give you financial freedom and that's priceless. I really think schools should be teaching about money and finance as part of a well thought out curriculum but that isn't the case. Fortunately Nina Page has put together a fantastic, age appropriate resource here. It doesn't just detail how to manage and think about money. But also gives a great outline as to what you should be telling your kids and how to talk to them differently as they grow older. This is a key book that will give you some great tools to unlock your child's financial future for them and really, after a healthy loving home life, this is perhaps the next best gift you could give them! Thoroughly recommended!
