Tear (Seaside #1)

When Alec and Demetri Daniels move to Seaside Oregon for rehab and therapy they turn Natalee's world upside down. Not only do they make up the band AD2 and bring out the fans and media, but they are also struggling to find their footing together and heal.

Natalee doesn't know the whole story about why Alec and Demetri have moved to town, but she's in love with both of them, just in different ways, and stuck right in the middle of the two of them.

This book is the same story from Strung but told from Natalee's point of view.

More than once I got a bit annoyed with the way Natalee acted but its easy to forget that these characters are teenagers in high school. Overall it is a great book and definitely worth reading the series.

The audio for the book was great. This is the second book I've listened to by Luci Christian and again it was a great performance.

Great Find

I stumbled upon this series by chance and fell in love with it.

Life as a teenager is never easy. But for Natalee Murray, things have just gotten way more difficult. Bored with life, she can't wait to graduate high school and get out of town, especially considering the famous band members from AD2 suddenly start attending her school, making her once boring life, absolutely insane.

The messed up love between Alec, Demetri and Nat was extremely interesting. AD2 seems to have so many skeletons in their closets. This book was funny and entertaining to me. I love the characters and the banter between them. I highly recommend this book to any one who love a good book!

Redundant to first book

This is the same story as the first book in the series except it is from the girl’s perspective. If you really loved the first book enough to listen to it again, it might be worth reading. Otherwise, skip it. It is well written but seems unnecessary.

Sooooo much dialogue

If you enjoy lots in unimportant talking about feelings and a main character that’s immature or if you’d like a knock off of Twilight and Vampire Diaries without any action at all, read this book. 🙄 It was terrible. I got to chapter 16 and had to quit.

Great story

Was a bit odd due to the dating one brother then the other, but very well written, has a great ending, and great characters.

Same as Strung.

Okay so this is Strung, told from Nat's POV. Honestly, you could skip this became it's the same story and I prefer the 3 POVs to the 1.

Retold From Natalie's POV

It was ok to listen to this over from Nat's POV, but the author got mixed up with Alec's eye color. They were green, then blue & back to green. Also, if Rockstar bodyguards are protecting a GF they would not let dress shopping stop them from doing their jobs...especially if there were already death threats. Just small things with this book. Would I use a credit or buy this...No, but being included with the plan isn't a total waste of time if you don't have anything else to do.

Love triangle with rockstar brothers!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 🖤💜🤎❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎
Character development: 👱🏻‍♀️🧔🏻‍👩🏼‍🦰🧑🏼

The heroine: Natalee (a.k.a. Nat) - an 18 year old senior in high school, she has lived a pretty sheltered life in a small beach town in Oregon. Her parents are workaholics that are too busy with their own lives to pay much attention to her. Her life changes drastically when two rockstar brothers move in next door.

The Hero(es): Alec & Demetri - they have come to Seaside to take a break from the rigors of the road. They are mysterious about their past and their real reasons for being there. They see Nat’s mother who is a psychologist.

The Story: Nat meets Alec & Demetri on their first day at Seaside’s high school. They are both drawn to her. Nat is used to being delegated to the background both in school and at home so when two handsome and famous celebrities pays attention to her, she likes being the one that other girls are envying.

Demetri likes Nat from the start and makes a play for her. Nat is attracted to the happy and fun guy but she also has feelings for the broody Alec. She becomes friends with Alec, jogging with him every morning and spending time hanging out while dating Demetri.

One thing I always find difficult is when we know the feelings of the protagonist long before he or she does. Especially when it is so obvious. From very early on it seemed that Nat should be friends with Demetri and dating Alec. Nat does love them both.

Either way it is a difficult situation especially with the way the guys not only are keeping something from her, but keep alluding to the fact that there are things going on that she doesn’t understand but they couldn’t (or wouldn’t) tell her.

Overall, there were some plot holes but the story did keep my interest till the very end and the narration was great as well. I recently decided to only listen to romance audiobooks with a male and a female narrator, but then I grabbed this one which happened to be told completely in the heroine’s POV with only a female narrator. But it didn’t bother me at all. Luci Christian Bell has an excellent voice for an 18 year old girl and she does the deeper male voices as well.

Good

This book is basically the same as Stung but it's from Nats point of view, I still enjoyed it though even though I had read Stung looking forward to the next book in the series.
