Publisher's Summary

I didn’t mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire–it just slipped out.

In my defense, I’d had a really bad haircut, a really strong drink, and I was trying to save face in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion.

Lucky for me, I happen to know a hot billionaire. Hutton French and I have been friends forever, and even though big social gatherings are not his thing, I called him from the coat closet and begged him for a favor–show up and play my fake fiancé for the night.

Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire. Our families are ecstatic. We’re front page news. My little food blog is launched into the stratosphere.

Of course, I offer to set the record straight right away, but Hutton wants to give it a little time–the phony engagement will keep his matrimony-mad mother and every matchmaking granny in town off his back.

He even suggests I move in with him to make the ruse more real.

And we don’t stop there.

We practice kissing. Undressing each other. Saying things–and doing things–we’d never dare if we weren’t pretending. Because it’s all for show, right? We’re just role-playing. Hutton doesn’t want a real relationship, and I don’t want to get hurt. But the more time we spend faking it, the more I start to wonder.

Could Hutton French and I actually be right for each other, or is it all just one big tease?

Ok but I was bored most of the time…

I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t. I was bored half the time and it was honestly a chore to finish. I don’t want to give it a 1 bc it has some good qualities and I love the previous books in this series but I couldn’t bring myself to like this one 😬the narration was good tho!

Giving up...

Sorry, Melanie! I have really enjoyed the Cloverleigh Farms series, but after almost 90-minutes, I'm shelving this one. These are both new narrators to me, and while Oliver Clarke is tolerable, I personally do NOT care for Samantha Summers' voice. It's a bit too "teenage" sounding and doesn't appeal in an adult romance (for me). Even more sadly, I haven't found the story/characters to be interesting enough to hold my attention.

Great Listen

Laugh out loud moments, awkwardly relatable characters, steamy scenes, and excellent narration. This story of friends to lovers in a hometown full of busy bodies is a delightful listen.

Love it

I always love Melanie Harlow‘s books but this is the one I love the most. It had so much emotion into it and I found myself relating a little to much to Felicity. The voice actors are phenomenal

Friends to Lovers!!

This was a great story! Low drama, not no drama, but low on the not needed only to make the story more overly dramatic drama - which is how I like it best … just enough drama. I love a friends to lovers story. Nothing like two really good friends falling into something more - isn’t that what we should all hope for!?!? I did whyspersync and what was good too. Narrators were both great. This is the only book from the series I have read - I may go back and read more - but I did not feel like I was missing anything by not have read them ahead of time.

Loved this Friends to Lovers Romance!

Tease is an exquisite friends to lovers story! Hutton and Felicity are both so adorkable, I truly loved them together. They formed a bond and were best friends in High School. Felicity blurted out odd things when she got nervous and Hutton had social anxiety and clammed up. They had their own secret code and promised to be there for each other always. So when Felicity blurted out she was engaged to the now billionaire Hutton, he came to her rescue immediately and played along. When Hutton comes up with a plan to keep pretending while he is in town, Felicity agrees. They both have their 'what if' moments, wondering why they never kissed back in high school. Now their attraction is even more electric, and when the sparks fly, they can't help but give in to their fiery passion. They are having fun together, enjoy learning secrets about each other, but mostly want to relish in their sizzling dirty desires. It makes it easier since they have an end date, and agree they can still be friends when it's over. But what happens when the lines become blurred, their hearts get involved, and they want more, but are afraid to ask? Can they ever still be 'just friends'? Hutton and Felicity are so great together! I fell hard for them, loving how they supported one another, no matter their quirks. I couldn't help but become totally invested in their HEA. Felicity is smart, funny, and determined, while Hutton is shy, and reserved, but is also thoughtful, caring, and deliciously dominant behind closed doors. He is definitely a sexy hero who will make you swoon, and your heart skip a beat! I loved catching up with old family and friends who are essential in their lives and are fun, loving, and supportive.
Samantha Summers, and Oliver Clarke did a great job portraying both Felicity, and Hutton in all their strengths and quirks. I always enjoy Summers warm and expressive performances that pull me in, and Clarke's deep voice was perfect for all of Hutton's fun, caring, anxious, and dominant sides. Together, these narrators brought this fun, heartwarming, hot and steamy romance to life beautifully.
I was completely captivated by this beautiful story from word one. It has the perfect blend of humor, heart, and passion which is everything I love to read. I also really love a great grand gesture and epilogue, and this had both that made me swoon and totally happy!

ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!

This Was A Super Amazing Must Read! Love All These Books And How The Characters All Connect. Definitely Need A Re-Read As I Read Them Out Of Order. Though Still Amazing And Easy To Follow! Was Not Sure About The Narration As I Had Not Heard Either Before But Turned Out They Fit The Characters Spot On!!

Loved everything about this one

Another visit to Cloverleigh Farm and another wonderful read. This is Hutton French and Felicity MacAllister’s friends to lovers, fake to real journey. Once again we are introduced to characters we can’t help loving and a story that is believable and that captivates your heart from the first page to the final line.
Two friends pretending to be engaged and what’s starts off as a bestie helping his friend out soon turns into so much more. Hutton is the man we all love to swoon over, he is kind, caring, sweet and hot but this quiet man has so much more going for him and it’s his best friend Felicity who is about to see just how far this man has come when he comes to her rescue.

Oliver Clarke and Samantha Summers are new narrators to me but they did a wonderful job bringing this book to life. They were spot on with the emotions and they were very easy to listen to.

Tease is a book with all the feels, it has wonderful characters, it’s a journey you can relate to but more importantly it’s a wonderful addition to the wonderful Cloverleigh Farms Series. Loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to see what next from one of my favourite small towns.
