Story
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Story
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Publisher's Summary
While hosting a popular late-night radio segment called Tell Me a Story author Joel Farrelly encounters a vast array of different callers from all walks of life, each with their own unique and often terrifying tale to tell. This is a collection of the show's most memorable segments as well as a memoir of how it all went horribly wrong when, at the height of his success, a mysterious caller forced Joel to recount a disturbing story from his own past... The one story Joel hoped he would never have to tell.

Listen at night for full effect!
There is something about listening to horror stories at night that make them a bit more effective. I chose this one as a story to listen to before bed, and I believe it made it that much better. The stories are not very realistic, but something about the description and narration in the dark drew my attention in and haunted me until I fell asleep!

This was pretty fun😀
Pretty good. I like short horror stories(and scifi stories)a lot. There are a few different spooky tales along with the main story. Good horror is cheesy a lot of the time-this was a little bit of spooky with a bit of comedy & horror chessieness thrown in the mix.. I enjoyed it. The narrator was good. He has a nice voice.. His narration didn't get in the way of the stories like some narrators tend to do. All in all as my header says-It was fun. Listen to this one at night with the lights out for funner effect.

Poorly Written and Not Scary at All
It is rare that I dislike a book so much that I decide not to finish it. This was one of those books. Perhaps I didn't read the book description correctly, but I was hoping for a series of stories about the real lives of the people calling in on the radio. Stories that were inspirational, humorous, cautionary, or even scary. Instead, this book was a series of stories that were supposed to be horror stories, but they were more like childish stories told around a campfire by a group of pre-teens. The stories weren't scary, were often hard to follow, and the "wrap up" for each story was so short and so unrelated to the rest of the story that it seemed like an afterthought. There are many wonderful books out there that are worthy of your time. This is not one of them.

Spine-tingling retro creepy stories
Do you have a story of the unexplained? Maybe a ghost story? I do. Many of us do.
But Joel’s radio show guests have stories to make you hold your breath; terror stories beyond belief. There’s something of the ‘fright-night’ about this story of a student radio station’s ill-fated Tell Me A Story graveyard shift slot. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Deliciously dark tales of the supernatural where listeners phoning in reveal their stories deftly gathers pace to a bonkers finale. Enjoy!
