Publisher's Summary

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single vampire must be in want of a wife. Someone biddable, her memories easily expunged to allow for strange, inexplicable deeds and baffling circumstances. A tractable creature of average intelligence, willing to tend to the business of producing heirs and keep out of all else. A girl easily molded, incurious, indifferent, and demanding nothing beyond access to his fortune.

Fitzwilliam Darcy knows exactly who he needs. He can fix on the hour, the spot, the look, and the words which laid the foundation for an obsession he rejected. But 10 years later, at an assembly in an obscure village in Hertfordshire, he finds himself in the middle once more. His needs are unalterable. But can he resist the one woman he truly wants?

Great PP + vampire combo

Well this was a really fun read! I love stories involving vampires, witches and faeries, I also love PP variations. This was a wonderfully well-written story about vampire Darcy. The author did an amazing job of keeping Darcy and Elizabeth true to character while creating an entirely new existence for them. The adaptation of many of the main characters into this new universe is really clever and engaging. The dialogue throughout the story is witty and laugh-out-loud funny at times. The relationship-building between D & E is very thoughtful and sweet.

I highly recommend this book, even if you aren't into vampire stories. The way the author dealt with the vampire aspect of Darcy's existence was well thought out and made it seem entirely plausible. The narrator did a fantastic job, he really did a wonderful job expressing every emotion from joy to sadness to wonder and everything in between.

This is a great book!

Intriguing and enjoyable

Excellent story, I was slightly annoyed with the character of Elizabeth in the beginning, but I am glad I kept going. The characters do show more depth, and develop well. Well worth it! If you love pride and prejudice and a little bit of vampire lore. Harry Frost is excellent, his ability to convey emotion and to portray different character voices consistently is one of the best.

well written

The story was very good but at times a bit drawn out. Didn't really like this version of E in the beginning. She was weak and did as she was told.

Pride and Prejudice and Vampires

This story was really well done. It was an intriguing retelling that stays true to the character of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth and the dynamics of their relationship while incorporating the vampire elements. The narrator, Harry Frost, does a fantastic job and is the perfect Mr. Darcy. You’ll wish your name was Elizabeth. This was an entertaining story and highly enjoyable!

Sequel Please!

I loved this love story! There's nothing more enticing to read about than a couple whose love and devotion grows as they learn more about each other. Harry Frost was the perfect voice for all the characters. Would love to read the sequel as Georgiana grows and starts to find her place in the family and Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam evolve into supportive parents while also becoming stronger and more effective in their world. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

If you like twilight, you’ll love this

This story takes the original premise of P&P & throws it out the window. If you’re a purist, you won’t like this at all.

I must confess I wasn’t sure for the first few chapters as Darcy is just so different to how JA drew him but then it transpires that actually he isn’t so different at all. Equally Elizabeth is different too but again as the story progresses she isn’t that different either.

In the end this book was a fabulous read & it surprised me greatly. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
