Publisher's Summary

"There is an economic storm brewing that threatens the sandy foundations of our monetary system." - From the Foreword by Russell Okung, Super Bowl Champion

Money is a fact of everyday life. We earn it, spend it and save it. We’re tempted to worship it and to trust it to provide for our needs. While much has been written about the power, danger, and stewardship of money, little has been written about what money actually is and whether or not money itself is moral. That information gap has been exploited to enrich a privileged few, enslave millions, and reap confusion and division throughout the world. How did this happen and what can we do about it?

Thank God for Bitcoin explores the ways in which the current monetary system is broken and what can be done to fix it. It explores the creation of money, its corruption and its potential redemption. It looks at how Bitcoin is redeeming the ills of our corrupt monetary system and how the ongoing transition to sound money is a source of hope for a broken world.

A book about a moral perspective

I greatly appreciate the authors coming together to organize their thoughts in a fantastic book. 80% of the book is about the moral implications and challenges our society faces in the current monetary system. The framework they lay out on how Bitcoin is fair and moral, is spot on. Looking forward to staying engaged with the fantastic group of authors and continue the conversation of changing the world for the better. Thank you for this book.

Beautiful

understand money. Realize the blessing of BTC. This incorruptible, deflationary, honest money is only in its infancy.

Good for a newbie to Bitcoin and understanding fiat currency.

Good jumping off point. Easy to understand though the author took some liberty with scripture application- it was a good book to start with which is where we are - starting.

Excellent work!

I highly recommend this book! As someone who has taught biblical finance for close to 20 years in a number of churches, this book provides an accurate and balanced approach to both Money and the technology of bitcoin!

More about the history of money than Bitcoin

I liked this book, but I feel it focused too much on the history of money and too little on Bitcoin. If you were looking for more info on Bitcoin itself, I'd suggest "Hard Money You Can't F#@k With" or "The Bitcoin Standard". But, there is a lot of good info in here too.

Eye opening

This book was entertaining and gives a real life view of the corruption found in our modern monetary system. It is full of scripture and makes the case that the Christian should support bitcoin. A very good read.

Bitcoin will have a bigger effect on society than I thought. Lots of insight. It will solve many problems if certain challenges can be overcome

A case against fiat

The audio quality is not good. It sounds compressed and the EQ is so heavy on the low end that it’s just not easy to listen to.

The content is great. This book focuses much more on the functions and problems with our current monetary systems and then gives a very “toe in the water” explanation of the solution: Bitcoin. I really appreciated the detail into how fiat is a form of theft and so would recommend the book. It’s much more religion-focused that i was personally interested in, but that is the context of the book so no real complaints.

The Spanish Inquisition would have loved bitcoin

The book should be called 'A Bible Review of Money', or [supposedly] 'Why Jesus Would Have Cleared the Temple of Moneychangers and Sold them on Bitcoin'. A totally Christian interpretation of the evils of fiat currency and its defects. Not that I disagree with many of the points made, but they could have been made in one chapter, not dragged out through the whole book. I wanted to hear about BITCOIN!! The info on Bitcoin was sparse, incomplete and not enabling.

Weird

I get into a nice chapter and then there’s a quote from the bible in the middle of it I don’t get the point of it.
It would be better without them but sure it’s your book
