How you respond to rejection is so important!

This past year has brought me face to face with some challenging experiences of rejection. Kait covers all the areas that, as women, we have to move forward through. I pre-ordered this book because Kait's Heart of Dating podcast has been a blessing in my life! A lot of the chapters echoed what she openly talks about on her podcast. It's some raw, super encouraging content over the topic of rejection that doesn't get talked about enough!

Powerful and practical lessons for anyone!

I have gone through my fair share of feelings of rejection (friends, relationships, jobs...). Needless to say you name it I've prob been there. So listening to Kait talk about her own experiences, and then couple those with practical teaching applications from renown professionals; along with her own life journey revelations was like a giant - YES!!! She gets it!

I think this book is applicable whether you are in a place of feeling rejected now, or are just needing to strengthen some areas of your life now for when the inevitable hits (and unfortunately it's "when" not "if"). The takeaways for me have reinforced my own life lessons, and equipped me with new ways to walking into the lessons still to come.

I will also add (as a guy) that even though Kait writes this through her own lenses the principles are for everyone! So whether guy or girl this book is a great tool for the ol' relationship tool belt. 5 stars all around!

Great book but be Warned!!

This is a truly great book that will help you through the process of rejecting rejection and respecting yourself and treating yourself with more kindness and grace. BUT if you have heard anything about Joshua Harris and all of the sad struggles he has gone through there is a chapter that may be very hard to get through. Her attitude towards him is sarcastic at best and may be difficult to listen to after hearing that he felt so much shame about his book that he left his wife and family. The first half of the book truly transformed my life but I am struggling to finish it because of her harshness towards that man who only meant well at the time. I was so excited to read a book about dealing with rejection and shame; I wish I had a warning about the shame this chapter would pile onto the already overcome JH. Really great book but be warned if you are sensitive to all of the history to JH or learned from his book.

Encouraging and healing!

Wow! What bold courage… and a testimony to how Jesus uses our story to bring healing and comfort to others walking through feelings of rejection and brokenness! I heard about this book from a Family Life Radio podcast and immediately needed to “read” it since I was in the midst of dealing with rejection in relationships! So timely. I loved the authenticity and tips on healing. I found it relevant, necessary and practical. I too have been walking through healing from childhood abuse, trauma and unhelpful restrictive teaching about dating. Thank you Kait for sharing your story. I know as I refer women to this book, many more will be helped, healed and validated in their walk through rejection while regaining their sense of identity. Thank you!

10/10 Would Recommend!!

I love how Kait used the overarching theme of rejection to cover so many aspects of challenges we face. She dives deep into self-rejection, and then external rejection. Whether you're a girl or guy, been in relationships or not, young or old, her story points you to hope, no matter what you've faced. She also gives great practical tools to overcome strongholds. I have been and will continue to recommend this book to everyone!

I feel Blessed to have journeyed through your life & share the lessons you have learned that have helped to you understand & accept rejection as a positive vs a negative. Some chapters were clearly about my life. Lol. Thank you for your transparency. I am better & wiser thanks to you. 💋

Therapy for any Rejection

Kait Warman is best known for her podcasts on dating, so it stands that this book would focus solely on rejection in dating. While this book does contain useful tidbits for dating, this book is so much more than that. It is therapy for all types of rejection that anyone may face. Although it is told through a Christian lens, I predict that anyone of any faith could benefit from this book. Whatever harsh words, trauma or hassle has got you down, this book will lift you up and say that rejection can make you better, not weaker.
