Wonderful Insights

Bought this as I'm planning on taking a portion of my life savings to start a nonprofit, and wasn't sure exactly what dynamics were at play for someone in my position, starting a nonprofit. This audiobooks breaks down the most necessary considerations for leading a nonprofit, how to relate to your employees, your market, and your business overall.

The narrator was easy to follow and understand, and was engaging enough to keep my attention. The content was well laid out and structured, would recommend for anyone looking to start or is already leading a nonprofit.

Informative Resource

I came across this audiobook “The 12 Secrets of Exceptional Nonprofit Leaders: The Key Traits Necessary to Drive Social Impact“, which is great because I was open on listening something outside my usual niche of choice. With this audiobook I am able to have a title I can refer to when it comes to becoming a nonprofit leader. The idea of making a significant social impact is one that caught my interest in particular for this title.

Effective Audiobook.

I've always wanted to work for a non-profit organization, and after listening this audiobook, I believe I have the vision to head one. We have so many concerns in our world, and I believe some of them do not receive the attention they need. This audio is really enlightening. I've spent a lot of time working in the charity sector and have learnt a lot. It was well worth my time and money, in my opinion.

Great leaders exude positivity and confidence

Qualities of great managers as they inspire their employees to be excellent. Great leaders do their best to minimize mistakes. Outstanding leaders are accountable for the performance, good or bad, of each of their employees (and are quick to praise the good). I highly recommend this book. It explains in great detail all the leadership skills that are required to be successful in any organization.

An exceptional tool all nonprofit leaders need!

This short and informative audiobook has all the tools needed for a nonprofit leader to succeed. It provides 12 valuable traits that any leader can adopt no matter how much experience they have behind them. It is current and relevant to the times we live in today and alongside the 12 traits, provides a great description of each trait whilst giving practical examples to implement in your nonprofit organisation. I particularly liked the points against micromanagement and how to avoid this, as well as building trust as a brand!

Really interesting

This was super interesting because running a non-profit is just a completely different type of mindset as most businesses' main goal is profit. The main goal of a non-profit is of course to provide a quality service but from a management perspective, it's about running an efficient business. Some businesses can be profitable and run poorly but for non-profit management really has to make sure the staff is happy and the work is done well. True leadership! I found the narration really good and I'd recommend this for sure. It's a quick listen and well worth it.

An "exceptional" read.

Let me first express how informed and experienced the writer sounds. I truly believe his claims as a charitable leader and he has gained my trust with well-guided information. Also, the narrator isn't annoying!! I listen to a lot of books and unfortunately far too many of them ruin the book with their annoying voice, but this narrator is perfect for this book - clear and informative.

Overall, I think this book should definitely be in your library if you're looking to get your foot in the door with nonprofit management.

Brief but inspiring listen for change

The perfect foundation for those interested in entering the non profit world. I know from my experience many Non Profit and NGO leaders who run their organisations without any standardisation which can be frustrating to work and be productive within. If only they’d found this audiobook to refresh the fundamentals! Being a good leader can inspire a future generation to do good and make positive change. Shall be recommending this to colleagues for a refresher for sure.
