Story
In the United States, teenagers can focus on one task for only 65 seconds at a time, and office workers average only three minutes. Like so many of us, Johann Hari was finding that constantly switching from device to device and tab to tab was a diminishing and depressing way to live. He tried all sorts of self-help solutions - even abandoning his phone for three months - but nothing seemed to work.

We live in a hierarchical world where experience has traditionally been the key to promotion. But that period is over! Straight, clear-cut career trajectories no longer exist. Industries disappear, job descriptions change, and people's interests and passions evolve. The key to riding this wave, entrepreneur James Altucher advises, is to constantly be curious about what's next, to be comfortable with uncertainty so you can keep navigating the rough waters ahead, and most importantly, to pursue the things that interest you.

Story
From breakout stand-up comedian Iliza Shlesinger comes a subversively funny collection of essays and observations on a confident woman's approach to friendship, singlehood, and relationships. "Girl Logic" is Iliza's term for the way women obsess over details and situations that men don't necessarily even notice. She describes it as a characteristically female way of thinking that appears to be contradictory and circuitous but is actually a complicated and highly evolved way of looking at the world.

Not all swans are white, and not all events, no matter what the experts think, are predictable. Taleb shows that black swans, like 9/11, cannot be foreseen and have an immeasurable impact on the world.

Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It's the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer.

Story
Every day, we make decisions on topics ranging from personal investments to schools for our children to the meals we eat to the causes we champion. Unfortunately, we often choose poorly. The reason, the authors explain, is that, being human, we are all susceptible to various biases that can lead us to blunder. Our mistakes make us poorer and less healthy; we often make bad decisions involving education, personal finance, health care, mortgages and credit cards, the family, and even the planet itself.

Publisher's Summary
"Jon Levy is what happens when you mix a behavioral scientist like Robert Cialdini with Indiana Jones." (Lewis Howes, New York Times best-selling author of The School of Greatness)
Jon Levy used to be a nerd. Now he runs with the bulls in Pamplona, battles Kiefer Sutherland in Jenga, and crashes million-dollar weddings. How did he do it? The E.P.I.C. Model of Adventure, a breakthrough four-step process (Establish, Push Boundaries, Increase, Continue) for building the perfect adventure, from picking the right team to choosing the right mission and taking the right risks - with plenty of stories from his own exploits to show you how it's done. With the mold-breaking brilliance of Timothy Ferriss' The 4-Hour Work Week and the geeky enthusiasm of a TED Talk, this book is your ticket to the next level. You'll learn plenty, but the first lesson is easy: nothing good happens after 2 a.m. - except the most EPIC experiences of our lives.

Under the influence.
Why do the “adventures” all feature alcohol as a facilitator? Really surprised; this book does not offer anything you didn’t learn in high school. Was looking for something higher... more scientific than booze fueled. Did Dave Asprey read this before recommending on his podcast?

Fun, but a little shallow
The narration is excellent and the book is entertaining enough. A lot of the specific examples seem to focus on what a single, 20- or 30-year old male might enjoy: lots of drinking, hooking up, some silly shenanigans. Okay -- that is probably not quite fair...

A solid Interesting book.
This was a really good book. Especially for anyone that wants to be or is adventurous. It's a bit of a how to guide to create a great time where ever you go, instead of hoping you'll fall into an adventure or something fun and epic.
