Do NOT Buy - Unforgivable audio mistakes

Why NOT to waste your time, money, or credits;

1) Narrator stutters
2) Narrator re-reads lines
3) Narrator mispronounces/or just plain says wrong word MANY times
4) Other people heard in background
5) Narrator sounds like a robot

I believe Siri could read this book with more emotion. How does this even get "okay-ed" in production and put up for sale?!? The story had a bad YouTube "story time" feel to it, only...worse.
Notice how the sample seems just ripped out of no where from the book as if it was the only 5 minute that sounded well produced - THAT'S BECAUSE IT WAS!
I got got on this one.
How is this okay to sale? How does no one correct the narrator on how to correctly say words, or to say "no that's not the word, its this word?!?"
I have over 100 books in my Audible library. I've left one review aside from this one, and that was to rave about 'A Sucky Love Story' (highly recommend)
But if this review saves at least one person from this book, then it was worth my cringe and disappointment with Audible.

What in the world?

I strongly suggest passing on this garbage.

This book is nothing but poorly written snuff/torture smut. With a one dimensional plot, childish storyline and terrible grammar.

The author perpetually refers to a head as “a dome” and the narrator, while pleasant to listen to, manages to mispronounce words like voila etc.

I also find this book and story to be a hideous blot to the trials and tribulations of Sylvia Likens.

Save your money.
Don’t buy this garbage.

abysmal narrator

Unfortunately I couldn't get through this book because the narrator really should've chosen another activity to do. Be sure to listen to the sample, it only gets worse from there. The story is okay at best. It's pretty tame but as babies first disturbing novel, it works.

A twisted tale of abuse and vengance

Finished in one sitting because I just had to know the ending. Not disappointed. A little in shock and mind blown lol but not disappointed. This is not for the faint at heart or graphic sensitive, not for someone wanting to read a mild crime story, especially not a fairy tale. Very graphic abuse and brutality. Strong TW.

I tried listening to no avail.

I think my 15-year-old could write better than this. Apparently, they let anyone publish a book. I couldn't help but notice the phrase "to no avail" was overused. It annoyed me every time I heard it. I wouldn't even waste my time on this if it were free.

Do not read this review unless you don't mind spoilers. The story is decent, but I can't review it without giving storyline away

At first, I felt bad for Dad. His teen daughter was drinking, smoking, sexing, etc.... He and Mom tire of it. They tie up daughter and teach her. Lessons turn into torture, until they consider killing her to keep their lives peaceful. That sums up the story.
Now onto the details.
The abuse is realistic (translation : beatings : boring Mommy Dearest wire hangers) until it isn't. Swallowing multiple condoms was fun to listen to,but unrealistic. I don't mind unrealistic, just staying.
Daughters revenge was best part of the book.
And a sidenote: do teen boys really jerk it to their older sister's panties? Do teen boys want to suckle their sister's breasts? I don't have a penis, so I don't know. It just sounds horrible.
I listened to this book and liked the voice, but Dad's voice was too stiff. Not enough to take away from the story.... Overall, this book is still a solid 4 stars

Children. Obey your parents.

Oh,boy! Heed the warnings! This book is gruesome! How can a family be so messed up? How could they do such things to each other? ABUSE!
I was gifted an Audible version of this book. I have to say, I was not too impressed with this narrator. She read in an almost sing songy fashion. Not enough inflection or emotion for my taste. It wasn't much better than that monotone you get on Google Play Books! I think it could have been done alot better.
This is my voluntary review.

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT, THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD THAT, I LISTENED TO THE WHOLE THING IN ONE SITTING. THE NARRATOR WAS GREAT. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR HER NARRATE AGAIN ON ANOTHER BOOK. THIS BOOK AND NARRATION GETS 2 HEARTS AND A SWIRL OF LOVE! ❤❤💞

Terrible

This is a terrible book. It’s clearly some kind of sick fantasy of the author. The characters are shallow, the prose is clumsy and repetitive. There is no point to it or development of theme or character. It doesn’t portray any of the characters’ points of view. It’s just repetitive and immature descriptions of beating a teenage girl. The author’s arousal, on the other hand, is evident throughout.
The narrator is monotonous and doesn’t read fluently.
