Publisher's Summary

*Named one of the best audiobooks of 2017 by The Times (UK)*

The Angry Tide is the seventh novel in Winston Graham's sweeping series of Cornwall, Poldark.

Cornwall, toward the end of the 18th century. Ross Poldark sits for the borough of Truro as a member of Parliament - his time divided between London and Cornwall, his heart divided about his wife, Demelza.

His old feud with George Warleggan still flares, as does the illicit love between Morwenna and Drake, Demelza's brother. Before the new century dawns, George and Ross will be drawn together by a loss greater than their rivalry and Morwenna and Drake by a tragedy that brings them hope....

FINALLY!

FINALLY! Winston Graham's Poldark series is now complete. For a very long time, books 1-6 and 8-12 were on here, but not number 7, The Angry Tide. Though I read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it, I wanted my Audible collection to be complete. I live in Atlanta and sit in traffic every day, so I like to listen to these books to pass the time. THANK YOU for FINALLY releasing this one in the U.S.!

Be still my heart

I just finished this moments ago. While i always rate the poldark books 5 stars this one was beyond excellent and truly stands out so far in the series. My first thought is that this title is perfect for the events of this book. Very clever and well done sir. Not just the ending, but every major plot point throughout felt like peak moments in so many characters’ stories. This story- characters, plot and all- has been building towards some of these key moments. Even having watched the recent tv show, and loosely knowing what happens, my interest has not waned. I’m eager to see how these characters change and continue to develop after so many pivotal moments in this book. Series favorite so far!

Angry Relationships in 'Angry Tide'

Love the series, but this was not my favorite book. Some situations seemed too contrived, others not brought to a satisfying conclusion.

Bravo!

It's been months and I am starting book twelve after reading The Twisted Sword. I am spell bound and full of the emotions of the characters in this incredible story of the Poldark family and people in the lives. I am most enjoying the historical timeline of the series with details I find myself looking further into. Bravo!

One of the best

I have really enjoyed all the Poldark series of books, but this seemed particularly exceptional.
