Greed, terrorism, and simple bad luck conspire to bring mankind to its knees as a viral infection spreads out of control, reducing those infected to undead horrors that feed upon the rest. Story
It’s been 12 years since the undead hordes swept over the earth, forcing mankind to the brink of extinction. We now live like rats, scavenging in the ruins of our fallen civilization as the dead hunt us night and day. There is little left to scavenge, however. Grocery stores were emptied ages ago, gas tanks have long been dry, and bullets are so precious that a man is lucky to have two to his name. Still, we survive. But for how much longer?

Story
The world is suddenly thrown into chaos as a research project is sabotaged and the dead come alive to feast on the living - it seems like an old story, doesn’t it? The Apocalypse Crusade is not that book. You are not suddenly thrust into a world gone mad. Instead, you get front-row seats to how the sh-t went down. In real time you are witness to the agony and the horror…and the terrible stupidity that made it all possible.

Story
It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

With the threat of more assassinations on Bainbridge paralyzing the fortified island and spies in her own ranks turning her own men against her, Jillybean has to look to unlikely allies as The Black Captain brings his fury south to destroy her. He is consumed with the idea of revenge, yet he retains a cold, calculating rationality that Jillybean does not. The stress of war, as well as the deaths of her friends and the man she loves by her own hand, is eating away at what little mental stability she has left.

Worst writing and VO in HISTORY
The writing was subpar and the author tries to warn you ahead of time that the book is not for the faint of heart. What Peter should have said is, I will write women and black characters with as much misogyny and verbal black face as possible and pass it off as keeping it "real". Do not waste your time or money. This book will most definitely be returned. And the Voice Actor should be ashamed, using AAVE--trying to "blacken" your voice, you come off as a freaking minstrel show

Boring & don’t like the way some of U.S. Military is portrayed
I just couldn’t go far with this story. Our military would never turn into what this author suggests - even in an apocolypse. There would be a few of course, but they would be put down by other soldiers.

dont get me wrong, i love these books, but...
for some reason, in the third book of this box set, there is a random chapter from book 2(a complete 30 minutes, just skil over the entire chapter of audible 104) that is from Ram's POV, from when he is taken hostage by the blacks. It does not belong there at ALL, i am curious if this was just a production error for this box set, or if the writer put that chapter in on purpose? is the third book when purchased individually still like that?
it literally does nothing but get our hopes up, and despite the great story of the 3rd book, my mind is still having problems with chapter 104 even being there. its kind of hard to get past.

Disapointed
I wanted this set to be great, unfortunately the authors idea of good guys and bad is very skewed, all bad guys are super geniuses who instinctively know what the other characters will do and the good guys are blundering idiots, even the highly trained DEA/Military guy was crazy dumb, had to stop listening. The production was quite bad also, they have mixed chapters from the 1st book with the later ones which made for a confusing listen and chunks of text speech are just missing. Really wanted to love it, just couldn't.

The way the army is viewed through this book is disgusting and women in this book basically can't do anything except rely on other people and the slavery side of things is even disgusting the only reason I managed to get through as much as I did did is because of the narrator he was very good

Not predictable
Enjoyed this especially as it was written (jn my opinion,) a realist. The only currency was firepower and a strong will to survive. The only thing with all these stories is that it always appears that the bad guys have all the sweets and the power but that may well be what would happen if Order fell. Kept me entertained right to the end as I had no idea how it would conclude.

Great but a couple issues.
Loved the book and story, just noticed there were a few times where there is a cut and an old chapter repeats or a break in story as well as a missing chunk which was annoying.
