Publisher's Summary

The nights are long and cold. The days are endlessly silent, except when the monsters sniff out a survivor. Then, the screams drill into your ears and the grinding sounds of teeth on bone is enough to drive a little girl to madness.

In the beginning, there were sleepovers and best friends and pizza on Fridays. Then the monsters came. First it’s the human monsters, raping, murdering, and stealing everything they can get their hands on.

Then, come the real monsters, and survival is no longer a matter of luck. To survive the dead, a little girl has to become something else. She has to become more than human while at the same time, sink into depravity that’s beyond the bounds of society.

Within this book are four stories of survival that paint a picture of true madness coupled with raw innocence and a breathtaking genius.

The origin of Jillybean has been shrouded in mystery, until now.

This book contains four Novellas:

The Courage to Survive

The Witch: Jillybean in the Undead World

The First Giants

I miss Basil!

Rishi Katz is one of the few female narrators who I enjoy but how can you replace Basil Sands after all those books? This story would have been a lot better with him reading it.

Annoying

The attempt of the narrator to talk like a little girl is skin crawlingly annoying and I can’t do it!!

Fantastic Series

The only criticism I have is that it was read by a woman. Not that's there's a problem with women reading, but the Apocalypse series and Generation Z we're read by men who could actually sound somewhat like women and little girls. Unfortunately, it was hard for this narrator to sound much like a man and it was hard to really get immersed as a result. Other than that, she did a good job and the stories were great, much like all the other books I've listened to by Peter.

What happened to Basil Sands!!!

I couldn’t listen to this narrator and her horrible version of Jilly. My favorite Zombie Series just went down the tube. Even your narrator Generation Z was good. Didn’t audible or Peter listen to it ?Rishi narrated Peters newer series the culling. I bought both audiobooks in the series without even listening to the sample, since I usually love Peters books. I listened to both books thinking the whole time ‘this would be really good with a good narrator. I’m not buying another book narrated by Rishi. Sorry not everyone can play multiple characters. I’m sure it’s really difficult to do well. In my mind the Narrator is as important ,as the author. They can make or break a book. Especially after a ten book series, nothing upsets me more when they switch narrators after you have grown to love the original reader. I don’t know who makes these decisions, whether it’s audible or the author, but there are always a bunch of unhappy listeners whenever they switch narrators at the end of a long series. Sorry this is the first one star I’ve left. Usually I leave 5 stars or nothing. But how will they ever change this practice unless we tell them.

I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT JILLYBEAN!!

Seriously. I can't! The Epic Jillybean lives again in this new installment to The Undead World Series by Peter Meredith. BEST SERIES EVER, in my opinion! I have never been so captivated by one series, one character, as much as I have by our little Jilly. We've watched her grow up! Don't miss out on this amazing book by Peter Meredith. He hits a home run again, and I can't wait for more from one of my absolute favorite authors!

Wowser

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, explaining a little of the Jilly-bean back story, Peter Meredith NEVER fails to excite and captivate me, and his other fans with his remarkable zompoc series, and this fits in beautifully. Was a little dubious about having a female narrator, but Rishi Katz did this book justice, keeping pace and tension high, and in my opinion, was an excellent substitute for the regular narration by Basil Sands.
