This acclaimed story of World War II is rich in suspense, characterization, plot, and spiritual truth. Every element of occupied Holland is united in a story of courage and hope: a hidden Jewish child, an underdiver, a downed RAF pilot, an imaginative, daring underground hero, and the small things of family life which surprisingly carry on in the midst of oppression.

Of especially naughty children, it is sometimes said: “They must have been raised by wolves.” The Incorrigible children actually were. Discovered in the forests of Ashton Place, the Incorrigibles are no ordinary children: Alexander keeps his siblings in line with gentle nips; Cassiopeia has a bark that is (usually) worse than her bite; and Beowulf is alarmingly adept at chasing squirrels.

Yeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
This book helps to fill in some of the gaps for the green ember series. It explains what exactly happened when Emma, Joe, Culloden, and Hayna were doing when they went to black stone citadel. The story, in it of itself, is jot one of the better S. d. Smith stories, but it does add a lot of depth to the original stories. I have already listened to this more than once, and each time I read it I learn something new that I didn’t catch before. Would DEFINITELY recommend! Especially, if you, like me, want a more full understanding of what happened during all of Emma’s excursions to the various citadels, and what happened whilst she was there. Hopefully you found this helpful!

This has been one of the best S.D Smith books ever. I liked the newly added elements of romance in it. Overall, a great story, and a interesting insight into one of the lesser seen citadels of Natalia.

Hits the target!
Another well-paced story featuring our favourite archer. I particularly enjoyed the moral lessons and the foreshadowings of the brilliant plot twist. Lots of fun but also plenty of meaty stuff to discuss as a family.
