A Drekki Flynt Novel

In his first full-length novel, the swashbuckling Drekki Flynt finds himself at the mercy of his nemesis, Rogi Throkk, who sends him to find the fabled talisman of Achromia...or die trying.

Listen to it because

This high-flying, high-stakes tale follows the incorrigible Drekki Flynt as a simple job draws him and his crew into a sprawling conspiracy.

The story

Drekki Flynt! Captain of the Aelsling, known throughout the Skyshoals of Achromia! Say his name and make half a tavern starry-eyed, while the other half mutters about how much money he owes them.

Drekki Flynt! Uncommonly tall for a duardin—an adventurer, an endrineer, a wit and a self-proclaimed genius.

Drekki Flynt...is in trouble.

Lured by the promise of a lucrative contract, Drekki finds himself at the mercy of his nemesis, Rogi Throkk, who gives him an ultimatum—recover the fabled talisman of Achromia, or die. As it is, Drekki will probably die anyway, but that's really not Throkk's problem. Braving perils including—but not limited to—giant air-beasts, grot pirates, and terrible storms, the crew of the Aelsling is sucked into a conspiracy that will see an ancient empire rise again, or fall forever to Chaos...

The Adventures of Drekki Flynt!

If you’re looking for adventure and fun, I highly recommend this story. The story of Drekki Flynt is that of a sky faring Duardin (Dwarf) privateer and his crew as they take on a job that might clear up some problems they’ve been having. The main characters are fun and well developed with Drekki being a short ball of charisma and likability that makes you want to pal around with him even if you don’t make much money. The story takes a few turns and ends on the promise of more adventures while still completing the main story. I recommend this.

extremely fun

funny and entertaining, Flint is a wonderful and flawed character that is very likable. only need a cursory understanding of age of sigmar in order to enjoy so don't be afraid to dive in if your new.

A fun Sky sailing treasure hunt.

This one takes after the idea of treasure hunting in the age of pirates.
Mysterious treasure sealed in the ruins of an ancient civilization, other sailers racing for the treasure, nations maneuvering for the best outcome, precariously perched shipwrecks, kraken fights, a famous captain in terrible financial condition, and a bit of political intrigue.

Make this a show

If your looking for a fun adventure with good tension and emotion this is it. Words cannot describe how well written this is other than the fact that if made into a live action show, it’d break records with its charm.

A Fun Story Ruined by Constant Interruptions

The narration is fine but the constant interruptions for foot notes is incredibly distracting.

Drekki is a new favorite!

This was one of the best Age of Sigmar novels yet in my opinion. The story is great, the characters complex and lovable. I found myself cheering on my new favorite ragtag crew of characters. Would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic

A great book, really expands the lore of the kharadron and the world in which they operate. Made me start collecting the kharadron.

Hope to see more

Overall good listen. Has the potential for an solid ongoing series following Drekki Flynt similar to Gotreks omnibus. Duardin always seem to provide a charismatic story. Great to see some diversity in the crew, females and ogors!
