Everyone needs this book!

I was not sure what to expect with this book, but I absolutely loved it! It was funny, uplifting and the theme through it all that we are defined, but refined through our mistakes and shortcomings was exactly what I needed in this season. The narration was authentic and I enjoyed Amanda being part of it!

Thank you Stephen!

This was refreshing and relatable. It’s a read where life’s hiccups meets hope and humor. I found of a few lessons within that I will forever share but the greatest for today…was the art of venerability!
Thank you.

Refreshing, Kind, Hilarious

This book was everything I always wanted and didn’t know I could have in an audiobook. It was entertaining, enlightening, encouraging, and much more. It really just felt like listening to a friend and mentor tell you stories about his life that make you feel like a better person just by listening. You can hear the joy and life in his voice and I particularly love when the author narrates a book because you can hear the passion and know exactly how they mean for something to come out. I would definitely recommend.

Great Read

God bless you Stephen. This book is spot on. The enemy wants our mistakes and failures keep us incompacitated, unable to move forward in life. You are living proof it does not have to be this way. Thanks for teaching us how to move forward .

Exceptional

A funny, lighthearted and inspiring book. I have the audio version of the book which is read by Stephen but also features his wife Amanda, and some of Stephen's music. It takes a special kind of person to be aware of, and acknowledge your own failings, but Stephen recalls his misdemeanours in such an hilarious fashion. His story telling abilities are enthralling and passionate, with lots of laugh out loud moments.

Laughed and cried, wished it was longer!

I’ve been following The Miller Fam since pre Covid on YouTube. When I heard Stephen had written a book I knew I’d love it. He’s very funny, super open, and incredibly real. You can identify with him even if you haven’t been through the same experiences. I particularly loved the added conversations with his wife, Amanda in between each chapter. Every YouTube video I’ve watched of theirs I wondered why Stephen looks at Amanda the way he does, now the blissful adoration makes sense. It’s a super chilled book that I listened to in a couple of weeks and was disappointed when it was over. His ability to take on the voice of others was worth listening to the book alone, they’re crazily good.

Encouraging read!

As a person who, like Stephen, used to be one who was pretty consistent at the art of getting it wrong I was able to identify with this book! I think what stood out the most was Stephen’s humility and authenticity. Most of all, sharing hope that our failures don’t define us but they do refine us. Without that hope, it’s very hard to break the cycle. I absolutely love the song, “Hope” and never get tired of listening to it. This book was an easy read and I highly recommend it.
